I can see that, but it's just frustrating as a Terran player who already has trouble in late game TvP, I'm basically gonna have invisible mutas flying around in my base. Lovely.

Only Zeratul got Blink.

Mech ground and air attack upgrades combined : Yes ! This will encourage biomech play, its quite a good one (forGG TvP with Hellbat/Bio and alike should be awesome )
Widow mine splash radius decreased from 1.75 to 1.1 Reducing it is fine but not by that much i feel.
Siege tank attack period decreased from 3 to 2.7 The idea is good but siege tanks are still slow as fuck...And they are still is as bad as before vs protoss so no.
Oracle cost decreased from 150/150 to 150/100 Do we REALLY want to see more proxy/fast oracle ? Are you kidding blizz ? Fuck this change, its literally bullshit.
Dark Templar movement speed increased from 2.813 to 3.375 No,just no. Aren't they strong enough ?does david kim enjoy DT rushing dustin ?
Roach speed upgrade also increases the burrowed roach movement speed from 1.41 to 2.25 I couldn't care less but if zergs feels like its needed then let it be.

Mine and tank change; good. Oracle/roach/upgrade changes; meh. DT change; dafuq?

It's only seeing use early game, so reduce gas cost by 50... and how is that going to make people decide to "keep building them"? In PvZ having any in the midgame before tempests are out is dumb, making void rays is always better. In PvT if you're continuing to make anything out of the stargate after an oracle into macro play (except for maybe phoenix) then you're going to lose. And in pvp, MSC will shut down any amount of oracles and there's just no real reason to build them after the initial 1 or 2 anyway.
Pretty sure that description is for the bronzies on another forum. Here you can read between the lines:
Build stargate and oracle... do damage only if enemy not prepared. Otherwise lose. So, reduce gas cost, maybe P has a chance to get "real tech" up and going to stay in the game.

the tank and mine change is the only solid change in here.
everything else is just gimmicks that encourages shitty games.

Reading this forum could tell you that his job is far from easy when everyone here seems to know how to make the game better. Do you really think we could tell if David Kim decided to only spend 20 hours per week on his job? I am pretty sure he is a full time employee. You may not be happy about the changes, but lets be real here.

I hope they patch it before Blizzcon to be honest. The matchups are getting very stale

The widow mine nerf is too big. It will literally make it useless.
PS: what is blizzards obsession with buffing unit speeds all the time. Dark templar and roach burrow buff? wtf...

Oracle cost lowered is going to make proxy Oracle -> 3 Gate Void Ray all-ins even more of a bitch to hold. otherwise I definitely dont think this will accomplish his stated goal.
Isn't that the easiest all-in to hold already? Pretty sure it is. Immortal 2 base must be better. Got to be better.

Make tanks faster so they can get away from zealots! Now that would be a good mech buff

I think the speed buff is silly, but dt's should be effected by the charge upgrade.

Or the "Psi-locomotion-enhancement-engine."

Won't happen.

What'd they smoke this weekend to come up with these!?
Some of them seem like they would be really interesting to play with though.

LOL Blizzard buffing all the units I love to use. Massive thumbs up all around, but I doubt these changes are needed. In particular, I already barely lose DTs in PvT, so I look forward to saving every single one! :D

I think David Kim is a big fan of this guy:
On September 22 2013 07:29 SpeghettiJoe wrote: I think a very simple way to make SC2 more exciting to watch is:
Make more high mobility units!
What made WoL boring to watch? - Brood lords every game, slowly eating away the enemy's base like a bacteria. zzzzz - Or TvT - tanks, tanks, tanks, sieged up, gridlocked. zzzz. Finally, after 15 min, a catch of tanks out of position, game over. - Not to mention ALL of terran's tier 3 units are slow as hell
Changes:
1. Make terran tier 3 units FAST. FAST = more interesting and more frequent fights.
2. Make other units faster too! Fast = awesome. LoL is exciting to play and watch because shit is fast! Flashes, dashes, gap closers, etc etc.
3. Take away the slower units and make them FAST instead! SC2 has too many slow freakin units/mechanics, encouraging gridlocks, posturing (just moving deathballs around without fighting), and turtling.

I'm really not sure about this. I am in two minds about most of these changes, and dislike DK's reasons for these changes: introducing more "diversity" into Starcraft 2. The only changes I am reasonably on board with at the moment are the changes to the tank and maybe the roach buff. And I have to think a little more about these too. The rest are meh.
The overall patch looks meh too. DK needs better soundproof walls at Blizzard HQ to keep out the community whine.
