Don't you think? I know that you are a good player, but in all honesty... Recent results are not speaking against you, but for HasuObs as one of the strongest foreigners... Of course he sliped against MMA and Welmu but he made up for it by winning 2 major titles shortly after...
And I think shuttle will advance.. well because it's shuttle.. I think it will be a close one, maybe HasuObs Nerchio or HasuObs Shuttle... But HasuObs will go out first in this group...
He stomped MVP and grubby. He won the ESL summer and he won WCG germany... His PvZ is maybe is weakest matchup so maybe you have a chance... but still.. he beat TLO recently(think 2 weeks ago) also 2:1...

I'm a bit surprised by the ukraine because a great majority agreed that ukraine is at least in the top3 of europe and looking at Kas' group it is quite likely, that there won't be a single ukrainian left for the next groupstage.
Of course this is just a small sample and does not provide that much of a data. Nevertheless I found it rather interesting.
Yeah quite interesting indeed! Not having Dimaga in Premier League is of course a bit of an upset (for me at least) and both Bly and Strelok dropped out of challenger league now...
It would be so cool to have a national championship similar to the Davis Cup in Tennis with say four 1v1s, two 2v2s, and one 3v3, each nation lining up 4-5 players.

Would be cool.. but pls not 2v2 and 3v3, max 1 2v2 and the other 1v1. I think still the best nations are something like this.. is hard to tell anyhow... 1.Korea 2.Sweden 3.Canada 4.Germany 5.Russia 6.France 7.Poland 8.Spain 9.China 10.Finland
What do you think?

@Groups Very nice groups, I hope TLO makes it through, altough its going to be hard :/

I think that is quite a good representation. funny that the USA is not in your top 10... I know they are not... but it is still quite strange because SC2 is still very bonded with the us... I watch day9 and husky all day... and still they don't have any players that make good progress... ok maybe goswser and minigun... also puck is quite good... but that's it... really sad

I didn't say that Nerchio is bad... What I wanted to say was: If there is a group where Nerchio could be the weakest player... then the group must be tough..
But man.. no one can at the moment doubt HasuObs performance... He sliped against mma and welmu but that was to be expected... he posted on his FB account that he didn't sleep at all the night before the matches... But still he won WCG at gamescom... which was not an easy task...
I don't know how good shuttle is at the moment... is he playing from korea? if so nerchio will make second place... if not... than I think shuttle has this.

I think we really need a world team championship to find out!
Who would represent the countries though? Say five players each:
1.Korea: (I'm not going to touch this with a 3 meter stick ) 2.Sweden: Naniwa, Sase, ThorZain, Sortof, ? 3.Canada: Scarlett, Huk, ?, ?, ? 4.Germany: HasuObs, TLO, Krass, Showtime,? 5.Russia: Happy, Titan, sLivko, Noname, ? 6.France: Dayshi, Firecake, ToD, ?, ? 7.Poland: Nerchio, Tefel, MaNa, uzer, ? 8.Spain: Vortix, Lucifron, Alastor, ?, ? 9.China: Jim, Macsed, Top, ?, ? 10.Finland: Welmu, Elfi, Fuzer, ?, ?
I have to throw in the Netherlands and Ukraine into the discussion here as well:
Holland: Grubby, Ret, Harstem, ?, ? Ukraine: Kas, Dimaga, Strelok, Bly, ?
I think there is a lot of candidates for the last spot in Sweden (Morrow, Bischu, Sjow), Germany (Heromarine, Socke, Tarrantius) Russia (Verdi, Bratok, Livezerg) and Poland (DieStar, Paranoid) to mention a few, but I'm not so sure about Canada tbh. It feels like Spain and Finland is similar in that there are few given candidates behind the top players that could easily claim the last spots... When I look at it like this I'd like to reshuffle the list just a bit:
1.Korea: (I'm still not going to touch this with a 3 meter stick ) 2.Sweden: Naniwa, Sase, ThorZain, Sortof, ? 3.Germany: HasuObs, TLO, Krass, Showtime,? 4.Russia: Happy, Titan, sLivko, Noname, ? 5.Poland: Nerchio, Tefel, MaNa, uzer, ? 6.Ukraine: Kas, Dimaga, Strelok, Bly, ? 7.France: Dayshi, Firecake, ToD, ?, ? 8.Spain: Vortix, Lucifron, Alastor, ?, ? 9.China: Jim, Macsed, Top, ?, ? 10.Finland: Welmu, Elfi, Fuzer, ?, ? 10.Holland: Grubby, Ret, Harstem, ?, ?
I don't know where to fit Canada in there with only 2 players. Ukraine moved up to 6th spot, because that is still a quite fearsome line-up. All in all between 2nd and 6th spot it feels like it is a very close call.

canada doesn´t really have to offer a "bunch of top players" so i wouldn´t pick canada for a top 5 position. 1 Scarlett can´t change it. All other positions of your toplists are fine. Agree with you

Naama, in Naama we trust. He allkilled team Sweden (swevsfin match) and after that went to win DH2010Winter.
But in reality, after Welmu, elfi and Fuzer(even tho he is retired) there is Naama, Satiini, Protosser and rising star Jagelius. And Protossers 14yo brother Serral.

You are right of course, I had forgotten about Naama. Haven't seen him much lately though? Jagelius I haven't seen at all, and I'm sure there are plenty of more upcoming players I haven't noticed yet (like most of the Chinese players for example).

Interesting to see that group A has so many votes for toughest group. When I first saw the groups, my initial reaction was that it was one of the easiest groups Naniwa could get.

V Ah, sorry about mixing up Holland and Netherlands.
Yeah, I mentioned Heromarine and Socke in the post there.

It is true that Mvp got through a group of death way back in GSL August... since then, Mvp has been placed in really awesome groups.
Mvp for repeat EU championship anyone?
