Anyway I totally understand the reason that there aren't more female progamers. They don't take it as seriously as you have to in order to be competitive. Probably because they're a lot smarter than men are in that regard. The chances of having a successful competitive gaming career are about the same as winning one of the smaller lotteries. Really if you want to take that chance, that's your business, but it's never a sound financial strategy. It's very much the dream of young boys, which is probably why most eSports stars are ... young boys. I don't see how they're 'smarter than men' in that regard. Wanting to make it as a supermodel or a music star are just as unrealistic/unlikely and plenty of women have those dreams, albeit the payoffs can be bigger than those available to E-sports folk.

Good luck in the future! Hopefully we will see you staying in esports!

It's sad she is so hard on herself. The couple times she played in GSTL it was clear she cared a lot. Good Luck Eve!

interesting timing considering they are starting a female only league?

lol. its just that gaming is a male dominated enviroment. and they know that they are lacking in skill to compete.

Translation of the actual Korean post under the English:
Hello my facebook friends. T_T... You may have already figured it out, but I quit gaming..I was really thankful for the love and support I received until now. I feel very sorry; to be honest.. I played for 2 years and I haven't shown anything.. I was so determined; I told myself that even if I quit, I wanted to win at least once.. I'm very sorry for quitting and not being able to show myself playing well T_T and I'm very thankful.. So many people came to root for a flimsy girl like me during competitions.. I received so many snacks, presents, and letters really... again I'm thankful and sorry T_T Oh, and I got a job at a really nice place! Don't worry about me T_T If you would like, you can delete me off facebook!! I'm going to live and work hard! I wish all my facebook friends the best in their endeavors as well T_T I'm so sad *crycry* Bye...T_T

She played 2 matches in GSTL, 1 of which was in the 2013 HotS Preseason vs ST. Aphrodite, the other one was vs MVP. Sniper (GSL Champion) and was so-so in closeness but this was around the time that Sniper won his championship if i recall correctly.

It could be just the fact that males are aggressive and competitive, like most males in the mammalian class.

^ The last couple threads dealing with ladies in the SC2 scene has brought out the sexists in the community. It's been pretty enlightening how far we have to go.
