Eve wasn't active in the scene at all. Ah well... best of luck to her. I hope that she'll be studying or working towards something else.

She could of streamed or something, it would of generated revenue for the team at least on a similar level as the other progamers. I don't even have a clue at how much she was practicing..

Eve was training as a real SlayerS player, IIRC, though she never had the results of guys like MMA or Puzzle. She wasn't actually a bad player though, she was high masters I think. Good luck to her in all her future endeavors .

While I agree with your statement, she was never really competitive. There are plenty of females who are more competitive than she was/is.

There are somehow (given relative population sizes) more transgendered SC2 pros than female pros. Which tells you how bad the female situation is, given how few transgendered people there are in the world compared to the number of females.

How come people want more females? Or care for that matter?

I have been confused for so long as to why people start threads or discuss females in sc2.

It's almost like they make it out to be a bad or a good thing, where personally I think both cases aren't even relevant. Makes me feel like after the "women" talk is over, race will be the next thing "where are all the black casters"? All seems arbitrary to me.

How come people want more Americans? Or care for that matter?

Not the first time people have talked about a group being underrepresented.

I laughed. Nice!

First thing, I'm not flaming or anything, just plain facts.

Like SlayerS Jessica said at the time, Eve was picked up because she was a girl, being good looking etc.
The announcement mentioned her skills and look, but they would not have recruted Eve if she was a man, there are a ton of male master players in Korea that have the same (and better) skill level.

Eve was like a marketing icon / Representative figure for the SlayerS team.

For now, not enough female gamers are playing hard enough (not as hard as the majority of male gamers) to see a female pro gamer dominating in the current SC2 scene.

Flo and Maddelisk seem to be real competitive gamers, I hope they'll be inspire many master female players to try harder and reach the pro level. Being a pro in Starcraft 2 requires many things, but being good looking won't lead you anywhere if you want to be respected as a competitive gamer.

She got the results I expected. In either case good luck in her future endeavors. There's no need to apologize either lmao. It's her life and I say enjoy it.

Best of luck in her future efforts. Competitive Starcraft wasn't really for her, so hopefully she can find something she's good at moving forwards.

She did pretty well in the small female tournaments or whatever that I saw her play in. Good luck in the future to her.

Anyway I totally understand the reason that there aren't more female progamers. They don't take it as seriously as you have to in order to be competitive. Probably because they're a lot smarter than men are in that regard. The chances of having a successful competitive gaming career are about the same as winning one of the smaller lotteries. Really if you want to take that chance, that's your business, but it's never a sound financial strategy. It's very much the dream of young boys, which is probably why most eSports stars are ... young boys.
