I think problem Blizzard has with balancing the game..they will nerf something and if there might be an issue it gets nerf again but double nerfing makes some units and stuff pointless...sometimes they need to take a look at undoing a previous nerf so a new nerf can "balance" the game and not just make terran weaker cuz they doign it again like WOL where terran justs gets non stop nerfs. Only way hellbats will be seen now is going mech which is kinda dumb and not to mention they be much later.
Im fine with the BF upgrade but fact is dat if we still need to armory to make hellbat..an upgrade to transform plus only 2 hellbats can fit in one dropship? Doesnt make much sense to me. Undo some of the nerfs..if they do round same as helion...maybe need to put back 4 hellbats to a dropship. need to spend more money to upgrade the transformation ability which is still pointless and a good waste of money. I love cloak is cheaper but realistically how useful is that. Zerg makes spores without evo...toss has has obs and nexus cannon and prob still use cannon in mineral lines..i dont see how banshee is any helpful same way only again its seem only relevant to tvt but just made hellbats shit for tvz and tvp. So for me not to have good hellbats in my army in tvp i need a second fact to get the upgrade? Undo a nerf to hellbats dat was previous made so hellbats wont become useless plz unless its mech.

As a suckleague Random player I have to say I welcome this change a lot. Hellbat drops are a lot harder when people don't look at the minimap as frequently and notice them when they have no workers left. Banshees at least take longer, even if cloacked
I figured out the EG Curse. It was set in motion by Voodoo Shamans working for Millenium. Whenever EG aquires a player, Voodoo energies start slowly draining skill from the EG guy into an Millenium newcomer. Think about it!

Don't know, think it will be fine with TvZ. With cheap cloak, you can force early lair tech for detection. Also banshees will make T a lot safer than hellbat openings vs any kind of busts(and possibly therefor allow terran to be even more greedy behind the banshees if that's possible :D). I don't think TvZ will be that bad after the nerf to hellbats. TvP however will be terrible. Banshees can't do anything in TvP, so they basically killed hellbat drop opener without giving anything in return. For mech this is a terrible nerf, just removing the threat of hellbat drops is a huge loss.

For TvT I just don't like this nerf. It's one of the typical "we think something is broken, so just fuck it". I don't particularly think everyone going banshee vs banshee is any better than hellbat vs hellbat.

does anyone know of a masters + protoss not going MSC > gate FE > robotics > 2-3 observer > X > Y > Z in macro games? The 2 mine + 4 marine drop is pretty much all i see at a pro level beyond just standard CC first or reactor fe > 3 barrack bio, banshee functions almost exactly the same as the mine drop but will cost more... Good change. The retarded thing about the hellbats is that you just have to unload them and they automatically do a crap ton of damage. Sac the medivac, sac the hellbats. It's still worth it. This way, it's a wash whether a regular hellion drop would be better off then spending the extra on the armory, and hellbats in large army comp's will be where they need to be still.

Well that was more that they were never used in that way. The whole elevator into the base while clearing the way with helilions in the ground was unheard off.
Unless some special new tactics come out it won't be nearly the same

I disagree totally. A few turrets with marines can stop a banshee if you're prepared. Being totally prepared, you can STILL lose all your workers to hellbat drops.

Plz allow back 4 hellbats into a dropship if you going to allow this nerf. Always look on undoing a previous nerf when lookin at nerfing a unit numerous times. Main reason i think things arent balance is cause nerfs arent undone and when they receive a secondary or third nerf..its just pointless without a previous nerf being undone to the new nerf.

Blizzard just broke TvP. Now it is impossible for Terrans to work in hellbats to their composition, back to 14 minute scv all ins 9 out of 10 games. There is no sensible way to fit in the upgrade whilst going bio in TvP, Protoss will just have too big an advantage late game now.

Give it 2 months before the win rates start skewing heavily in protoss favour, and Blizzard realise what a massive mistake they've made and buff ghosts instead.

it completely restricts the build orders in TvT back to fast starports, otherwise you're investing too many resources in things that don't contribute to the later stages of the game while your opponent is doing a lot of damage relative to what you're doing.

it's just rock paper scissors which i guess is better than the mindless button pressing involved with hellbats.
