What folks need to realize is that the wrist is one of the parts of the human body with which we see the most variation from person to person; it isn't exactly uncommon for someone to have a few wrist bones supplied by one instead of two blood vessels. When a bone in a place as multiplicitous in articulation as the wrist is supplied with blood from only one vessel, this creates prime conditions for immense amounts of pain as the the vessel becomes pressed in sustained awkward positions, and can even lead to outright death of the bone. In a very real sense, not everyone can play starcraft at its highest levels due to this physical limitation, and it would behoove those whose living depend on gaming to get themselves checked out.

Hope Scarlett is able to recover though, she is the hero NA needs.

I think MVP got same issue before??? How is it possible? So sad,the only girl out there showing,they(girls) got a place in a world of men and got to leave SC2 for a while.So sad..Good luck and recover as fast as possible.

So sad to hear this. I heard some talking about her wrist problem when I tuned in to the Acer Teamstory cup the other day, but I didn't know it was so bad.

Really sad to hear! : ( She's a pretty huge rolemodel for me, and I remember when I started playing properly, it was with the intention of becoming good enough to compete so I could meet her and say hello at a tournament. Pro-gamers need to take better care, it's always self inflicted TT

We'll have dozens of retirements in the next 1-2 years if people don't change their lifestyle. So many people have problems who never say it publicly too

I have to agree a lot. With a very fast playstyle in SC2 it's like playing fast guitar solos: You have to stretch your wrist muscles otherwise you will get problems sometime.
