This thread is not for discussion about which tournaments Scarlett is allowed to play in or not. Moderation regarding such in this thread will be less lenient from now on. -semioldguy (p.22) |

User was warned for this post Not sure why he was even warned for this. The argument is about as ridiculous as calling Michael Jackson white because he dyed his skin. Hopefully "Scarlett" recovers though. It's always good to see foreigners who can compete and give the foreign crowd something to cheer for. User was temp banned for this post. It is not about facts or reality. It is about respecting a person's decision. You would know about that if you weren't living your life so judgemental in every aspect i guess.

Really sucks. I'm in the same situation myself (a ganglion cyst developed under my wrist) right after I got into masters and started playing 1v1's more seriously. I've had to stop playing completely for 2 months now and there's no telling how much longer it will have to be. I also can't play any other games with my hand period, its been a damn boring couple of months. I'm even limited at my job and do most of my work with my left hand.
Before this I had been playing through some mild wrist pain for a while and I stupidly thought just cutting down the amount I played by a lot that it would be alright. Now I'm in such a worse situation than I ever imagined and can barely use my right hand for months. Surgery to remove the cyst might be the only way it will recover but my insurance won't even cover it.
It's been said a lot but can't be said enough, if you're having ANY wrist pain, stop playing COMPLETELY until it's gone.

Poor her, poor us. We can't afford to lose another charismatic foreign pro, so here's to hoping she makes it back.

I hope this bring some attention regarding proper ergonomics when playing computer games. That and getting the right gear for comfort and not just performance.

Watching Flash precisely measure the exact position of his mice and keyboard suddenly doesn't look silly. Scarlett was one of the few bright spots in north American starcraft
EDIT: didn't realize this was such an old topic, I thought it was directly related to her interview after round 16 wcs last night

This thread is many months old.. When do she plan to take this break, if it's still a thing ?
