I don't think all 20 of the Koreans moving to NA will get invites. I'm sure most of them will have to qualify through the special qualifiers and/or go through the challenger league before overtaking the North American invites by season two. I'm sure Polt, Violet, Jaedong, Nestea, etc. will get invited, but guys like Center will probably have to just win the qualifier.

Poor NA scene... spending so much money on SC2 and can't grow its own scene. This is gonna hurt everybody long-term.

You have to be in na/eu for about 2 weeks, to actually play wcs. Ro16 is to Ro4 is played in like 4 days and finals are on the following weekend, the rest is played online anyways.

Well this was obviously gonna happen, blizzard messed up hard. Personally it at least gives me a reason to tune into eu/na wcs since there will be good players in them now, but it totally misses the point of wcs, tbh at this point I like last years a lot more.

Well that's the local players to the NA scene wiped out. Do all the local players in NA move to EU whats plan B Blizzard?

Smart choice by MC and MVP btw they are gonna tear EU a new one between them

Honestly, most of the players on that list are not Code S currently. I think it will be nice for people who aren't able to watch GSL when it's live to be able to watch a bunch of good players play when they can watch. Code S will remain mostly unaffected, and there are plenty of players in Code A who are Code S-quality in my eyes, anyway.

They're not right now perhaps, but a majority of them have been regulars of Code S. Maybe things will be fine with the addition of Kespa players, but I'm still far from convinced about Kespa's overall strength. So in a worse case scenario Code S won't feel like the actual WCS that it is.

As evidenced by the way Code B/A looked last season, KeSPA and eSF pros have been eliminating themselves and each other and there simply wasn't "enough room" in Code S - last season, I personally would argue that there were at least 8 more players who could have competed on even footing in Code S that got eliminated in Code A, and a few more stuck in Code B. With the addition of KeSPA players on top of all the eSF pros who fight tooth and nail for a Code S spot, the removal of (I count) 4 Code S players and several Code A/S has-beens will not hurt the depth of GSL too much.

I honestly feel that although the competition in Code A will be slightly weaker, there are more than enough players for Code A/S to still be tough as shit. Look at players like CJ'herO and Bisu (debatable, I know) who are stuck in Code B despite having the skill to compete in Code A. They will now (most likely) get the chance to play in Code A, and although the playing field will be slightly weaker, there are more than enough good Koreans to fill Code S without it feeling watered down or inferior.

MC is not able to play in WCS EU Season 1, right? It makes no sense he would be able to play in GSL, lose and then run off to EU.

Isn't lag from kr to eu basically unplayable? How are mvp and them going to play online? I also see it was IM's master plan to separate nestea and mvp hoping they each win their region and don't have to team kill each other.

Polt and ForGG didn't really move, per say. Still, thanks for the list, OP! It's nice to know these things in advance!
