I don't understand why MC, HyuN and TaeJa choose to move to NA or EU : they are ALREADY on code S (even though MC, lost yesterday and will have to come back).

Does that mean that HyuN or TaeJa will forfeit code S if they won their groups ?

Haven't they already forfeited by declaring they will run in NA?

Well this is what you HAVE to expect when you don't allow some top-tier players who happened to fall to Code B several months prior no chance to compete in WCS KR S1.

Hahaha brutal.
Poor NA players.

Glad to see some big fish on the EU scene too. Can't wait to see these tournaments really.

Oh noes!!!!! All the Koreans are gonna kick out the foreigners from the tournament that didn't exist before this!!!

Blizzard! How dare you infuse money into a scene and not hand it out to foreigners!?!

/sarcasm

AAAND you didnt get the memo why we are complaining. Get out.

why you are complaining:

1) Code S/A is weaker now.

Sure, a little. So what? NA and EU are stronger. Plus this opens up the KR WCS for more up and comers. Spreading dat wealth ain't so bad.

2) Foreigners are screwed.

Foreigners were screwed before... the only difference now is that instead of getting all dat Blizzard cash handed to them, they have to fight for it. Actually, they never had any Blizzard cash to begin with. They aren't losing out on anything except for lost potential.

3) Koreans are gonna "leech" off other scenes.

Already was happening.

4) Blizzard did something! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!

Yeah... I know. Change is frightening.

5) WCS doesn't mean anything anymore!!!

Foreigners battling out amongst themselves for the privilege of getting rocked by Koreans didn't mean much anyway. Oh, and actually, this is exactly the same! Foreigners can battle amongst themselves to face Koreans and probably lose.... just like before.

So pretty much instead of whoever wins WCS KR win the whole thing, its now much more balanced! Except i dont think EU champion(s?) is going to win WCS since their Koreans are weaker than the motherland and US's Koreans.

If they only have to live in the US for two weeks to complete their offline matches then that's not really bad for them. KR to NA lag isn't beyond terrible and then just a quick two week vacation to finish it off.

MVP, Nestea AND MC not in GSL? FU Blizzard
Edit: It is essentially the rosters of EG, TL and Axiom, plus Koreans already on foreign teams. Not many of them are mainstay GSL players at the moment so it could be worse

so basically MC, Taeja and Hyun are playing in 2 different WCS regions in the same season, sounds messed up to me.

However I think if MC plays from Korea, he won't make it through the online qualifiers anyways.

Hm I wish jaedong would participate in GSL but I can't blame him or really any of the koreans not in GSL right now to go for NA or EU. Hope jaedong dominates NA ^_^

I expected all those koreans on foreign teams (Liquid, EG, Quantic, etc.) to participate in WCS NA/EU, but Nestea and MVP? OMG

I don't think all 20 of the Koreans moving to NA will get invites. I'm sure most of them will have to qualify through the special qualifiers and/or go through the challenger league before overtaking the North American invites by season two. I'm sure Polt, Violet, Jaedong, Nestea, etc. will get invited, but guys like Center will probably have to just win the qualifier.

8 Koreans are invited to NA Premier division

The worst part about this is it's going to be a repeat of every Korean v Non-Korean online encounter ever, where the non-Korean win will be dismissed as lucky due to latency and Korean cheese hated on even more so

Thinking about it a little more... Europe isn't as fucked. I think players like Lucifron, Naniwa. and Stephano (if he chose EU) can take on the ones going for EU pretty well.

NA is a huge concern. I think 'Merica is beyond fucked. Scarlett might be able to handle her own, but I don't really feel like there's another player in NA currently that can do that. Huk maybe if he gets the right matchup and remembers to turn all his gates into warpgates. But they are only good for taking a game or 2, I don't know if they could take a group.

Not a big surprise except NesTea and MVP, it looks like both just want to make as much money as possible before retiring.

And the others are all on foreign teams. Most likely the teams wanted that they represent them in their main market and like Nazgul said these are most likely the players with travel support.
