Hello everyone! Forgive my english as it's not my first language.
I am a belgian gamer but I live in america. I have a wife and child and find time to stream and devote my passion to terran mech play. In 1999 I fell in love with vultures and siege tanks, this love passed over to hellions and i've just.. well always meched!
I am now Grandmaster 40 at the time of making this pack with 83? replays. I want to prove that mech is viable to everyone. My current statistics in hots is TvP: 16-5 76% TvT: 13-7 65% TvZ: 25-17 60% My overall is 65%
As you can see zerg is my hardest matchup but I feel like I have figured out most of it. I hope you all share my passion for mech or simply love the beautifull playstyle it takes to play it.
for many wondering well... is it mech? or factory? Because many players say mech isn't such without siege tank. So I want to say that the majority of these games use mass siege tank play.
I would love to see you keeping these stats after the period were the game is still being figured out :D As of now, i must say i'm already impressed. I love mech even if i don't play terran (and dislike most of them for reasons i don't get), i'm glad to see people still trying it (hello goody!) and making it work !
Thank you a lot. Did you use floating barracks in any of your games (especially TvP) to create artificial choke points and to improve your AoE damage? You have to land them before major battles happen and you'll wonder how overpowered this strategy is. They're like terran forcefields, but larger and they can really mess up the opponents unit AI badly.
Was playing bio for a while but after playing just a handful of games mech, it seems like people don't know what to do against it yet. So I could definitely see it being successful for now.

I was slowing down a lot, wol was beginning to be very dull to me but hots re kindled my love after a while. It didn't at first but once I really started playing against it just built up and I couldn't put it down.

I think mech is viable and close to par with bio. The difference is that bio is already figured out so it's a bit harder to mech right now. You can die to so many things if you don't know how to respond.
How are you dealing with tempests btw? I feel as if the game goes on in TvP, you are eventually going to die to the skytoss composition or the ground remax straight after the engagement.

Viking raven thor widow mine does pretty good! Throw in a few hellbats as well.
Man your Mech play has really evolved since a few months ago. Very cool to see, especially liking the Youtube channel.
Since you go Widow Mine heavy in TvZ vs Vipers, that's the response I use, except I rarely run into one problem. How are you dealing with large numbers of spread out speed overlords? to tank the Mines, which allow the Vipers to do their spells freely? Do you see this ever?

Keep 3-4 vikings 1-3 thors and just lift the mines until the enemy moves in to attack. maybe turret push as well.

Yes, actually I also found that 'mine-charge' in a big engagement is quite useful. People really need to learn when to unborrow the mine and how to charge them into enemy army.
Last time I did this, I killed a max protoss late-game army with 'mine-charge' and tank support.
thanks man im downloading them at the moment! I have watched your stream a couple of times and I think I have your stream on follow I realy didnt know you were from belgium
How are you dealing with oracle openings from P ? Lost a couple of games to both 1 oracle, or 3-4 oracle push. I had bunker up + mines, but mines attacked the zealots and bunker melted in seconds to the oracles. The P did a expo a little later than yours, into 3gate stargate.

Yeah I left it when I was young but can still speak / write most of it.
HTOMARIO, i just played 2 games TVZ with your strat (I'm protoss normally) and they took me a combined 180 minutes, should i just midgame push or wait it out ? (I won in the end but it was quite taxing)
Also could u post what u think is the best latelategame army ?
I had a couple of thors/ravens/bc's/tanks and quite some vikings.

You can start mid game pushing as long as they don't have broodlords. You want a few thors, 10 or so tanks, lots of mines, few vikings and lots of ravens.
I just watched 2 of your TvP and only can say: LOL!!! You have changed your style a lot and I like it A LOT!!! I will post some of my replays. My unit composition is pretty much the same as yours, but my openings are different.
Your Hellion harass is incredible!!! I dont understand why arent you researching BFH.You will kill much more workers than usual(88!! in one of your games LOL).I see ghosts are not a MUST for you and its because of your harass and great macro.I can see you making another Armory and upgrading armor as well. You always got the money to do it,so I hope to see it in your future games.I will keep following you.

I really like your tvp mech opening, it gives terran the map control for mech play but I wonder how do u deal with blink all ins and proxy immortal bust. I tried getting 3 bunkers and still die to both.
Yes, I have problems with both blink allin and TvT vs Bio where he drops even if I have turrets.
For blink Stalkers:
To me it seems like blink allin requires you to change your build a bit (like extra rax, few bunkers, building placement, etc..). I have some success going for fast 2nd Factory and get out 1-2 Tanks immidiately, then you need few mines/hellions/marines to dance around, but do not rely on mines too much, you need them to deny Stalkers just sniping your Tanks. He is just going to pick them off as soon as his observers arrives if you place them to far from your static defense. Now the worst part is, I have no idea, when this allin stops and when he expands or not. I guess I can send 1-2 hellions to his natural, but those are usually caught by Stalkers with blink. Or I can just scan, but since I try to snipe observers and mule to get extra minerals for defense, I find myself without orbital energy at all.
vs Bio TvT:
I actually think it might be good idea to sacrifice 4-8 supply for defense with Mines in addition to Missile Turrets. In such case, you probably don't even need Sensor Tower at all. Once you defended few drops, you might just grab everything and go kill him, but I'm not sure.
I played this style in the BETA and we posted a lot about it.Mario was going for Hellbat,Thor,BAnshee,Raven and BCs skipping tanks.I feel happy,he finally discovered and proved TANKS ARE GOOD IN TVP!!! The games he lost in the replay pack are vs heavy Immoral/Archon/Zealot beacuse of the lack of ghosts and their EMPs.
Anyways I find his opening not too safe and difficult to execute for lower leagues. It requires a lot of micro and harass early game, while macroing. He does it perfectly, but we Platinum and Diamond players wont be able to do it maybe. It depends of his enemies as well and at that level Protosses arent so good but Immortal bust or Blink would be an issue I think. You will die, before your medivac reach the enemys base.I tried many BO in the BETA trying to prepare for everything: Oracle,DT,Blink,Immortal,Void ray,Xgate, proxy gate,2 base Collosi..
Thats why I open Reaper to scout the enemy and try guess what is he going for.The 9SCV scout is for cheese and proxies and if I scout 2 gas early(almos every game now because of early DTs and Oracles) I go ebay as soon as possible and turret in mineral line.Building an ebay to block their natural is nice idea as well and so you can scout their expansion timing or not and prepare for all in.The reactor after reaper helps you make non stop marines and building bunkers you can defend everything. The Factory after reactor+lab and tank building help a lot vs Blink because of the splash.Add marines and bunkers and you got it all.Even immortals will suffer to bust you with 4-5 tanks and 3 full bunkers.
The TvT drops with turret rings are almost imossible to stop.Turrets kill medivacs, but a good player will scan and use the speedvacs to drop far from the turrets in middle of your base sniping important buildings. The best way for me are widow mines and Sensor Towers.150 100 for a Tower is much better than 700 for turret rings and you sitll get dropped. If you are going mech build Vikings and send them,as well as the Hellions.Your buildings will produce units,so u may see 2-3 tanks popping out the moment the BIO player drop,so you can defend with them too.

Thx for the replay pack. Btw I think it would be for the best to divide replays on match ups to simplify search for the desired game you wish to study.

Same here.I was watching the replays and its hard to find only TvT or TvP but finally, bit a bit I got it.
The video is OK.Nothing wrong.Keep doing this great job.I hope some Pros go and try this,so we can see it on real high Pro level...

With the 1 hellion I can usually scout it out pretty fast, If I see anything fishy I can scan his base. I start beginning marine tank medivac production and drop bunkers / another barracks. I cna do a timing push from a 2-1-1 after I feel comfortable.

I was wondering, any replays i REALLY REALLY need to look at? (I will look at a lot of them, but just wondering) I really fail in TvZ atm.
Thanks again! Watching you stream right now ^^ while downloading these reps
I think there are 2 named replays in there that are great against zerg. I used them for something else which is why they are named. Another great zerg game is:

Get bunkers away from cliffs and get mines. Put them behing them then you get a techlab then build up marauders and medivacs. A missile turret too in case of DT.
You can also produce marine tank medivac from a 1-1-1 and take an expo or attack from there.

Wonder if you are able to provide some replays of you stopping 1 base blink and immo busts. I normally have no problem scouting these builds but I just cant seem to stop them with mech play. For blink all ins i'm able to get around 3 bunkers and 2 tanks when they reach with my expo lifted into my main. But it seems the toss just blinks his stalkers into my tanks and snipe them. Help with replays would definitely be greatly appreciated

I don't face it very often, the protoss players would have to cheese me more for it to be included in the next group.
