I think him having to forfeit his Proleague match is a bigger deal than him dropping out of the Up&Downs. The fact that EG is allowing Stephano to drop out of his match especially a match that EG-TL desperately needs shows how much of a joke this whole EG-TL proleague endeavor was. They had no intention of taking this league seriously from the beginning.

GSL should learn a lesson ... I don't think it was Grubby's fault. Didn't GSL move their schedule ahead or something and that's why Grubby couldn't make his matches? Grubby was out of the country when he found out, I think.

I don't understand how that even happened, what if his IEM group had been on the 5th? Were they just going to shove him on a plane after proleague and hope he was in shape to play upon landing in germany. I assume he was locked into the proleague roster before the IEM groups came out on the 21st but the actual dates for IEM was known well in advance so why chance it.

awww so unfortunate, I really wanted him to continue in GSL

Loser proceeds to quitter. Sounds familiar
Much respect to GOM for getting constantly shat on by those charity seeds

Is he going to go back play in Code A, then? Has that question been addressed?

I hope GOM stops giving charity seeds out to undeserving foreigners now.

EG doesn't care what its players do so long as they stay visible to fans. They are only a professional team in the loosest sense of that term.

GSL is a tournament that favors preparation. Stephano is a player that doesn't do much preparing. Therefore, GSL isnt a tournament where a player like Stephano should thrive.

Much respect to GOM for getting constantly shat on by those charity seeds I think the lack of respect shown to GOM is the biggest concern here; I don't really care if Stephano is in GSL or not, but he should only accept the seed if he's going to give it his best shot. Shame on you, EG SHAME I SAY.

Not surprised. Stephano explicitly stated in an interview a few months back that he doesn't even like the game anymore, just plays for the money. I don't blame him for taking an easy opportunity to make bank instead of focusing on better tournaments.

So IEM is more important to him than GSL?
|
Is anyone actually surprised by Stephano's character being deeply flawed though?

It's the fucking IEM world championship, huge event. Up and downs is a very minor thing. He's still in Code A next season. Calm the fuck down.

GSL Up and Downs, not GSL

Will be fun if he'll fail at IEM after that. His group is not super hard, but with some bad luck and a well known curse... But it's perfectly understandable, chance to win some good cash vs chance to win up and downs...
