Probably for the best, I have a feeling Stephano would have just disappointed more people again. I personally feel he would have been knocked back into Code A; it's better for him and his "f*ck the haters" image in Korea to walk away then give the Koreans the satisfaction of knowing he's forgotten how to compete at the same caliber as their champions

Makes sense from a financial standpoint. No point playing in the world's toughest league just for a chance to compete in it, whereas he has a much better chance to actually win money by competing in IEM.
Sucks for the viewers though :/, and IMO, is also a reflection of his lack of confidence in his abilities.

figured as much, he did say before his last GSL match that if he didn't win he'd go stop playing in the GSL and start making money again in foreign tournaments... or something along those lines

They give him the best possible bracket, and hes not playing before thursday at IEM....
He knew about IEM weeks upfront, and yet cant inform GSL before brackets are out...
Just dont give foreigners special treatment in GSL anymore, im fucking tured of the forfeits.

I'd say don't expect him to stick around in the Korean team house too much longer either if hes not gunning for GSL.. I don't think he really cares about proleague either. In fact, I don't tihnk any of the team really cares about proleague..
