Where did you read i dislike the man ?
This thread is posted in the Starcraft 2 > SC2 General forum. Destiny isn't playing sc2 anymore and this isn't sc2 related. Hence, who the hell care to read about DESTINY FINANCIAL PROBLEMS in this part of teamliquid (SC2 GENERAL)? I'm happy for you if you like to hear about the guy, but SC2 general forum shouldn't be the place to find info about him.

The CPM offered for us haven't really worked, but it doesn't matter anymore. I don't have to say that there are payments pending from May, that we won't see most probably. What we have been told is that we can get the money back if we stream on Own3D again - that will not happen.
Twitch is one of the coolest companies we are in touch at the moment.
Never thought I would see the day when MoW complained about an organization's broken promises, hah.

Does he really need to go public every goddamn time, he should be able to handle this on his own.

The cat is out of the bag then? lol Hopefully we get to see own3d make a public statement that addresses these issues ...then again, the damage has already been done, this *could* turn away future potential streamers I guess

So it's okay when people complain on MoW, but MoW can't complain on anything - got it, Sir.
I am still pretty sure that Own3D will take care of their business and will develop their product. Best of luck in that.

Seriously, everyone leaves like rats on a sinking ship. If someone works for you, pay them. Simple as that.
And if you cannot pay them for whatever reason, communicate! Tell them, be honest with people, most people will understand as long as you're honest with them.

If anything I wish people didn't wait this long to go public tbh. It's redicilous imo that so many entities in e-sports can get away with paying late/not at all in the safety of it being very unlikely that people in the industry can sue. It being standard practice from some organisations to pay tournament winnings years later... Redicilous

Own3d not paying the streamers directly concerns SC2

Own3d never streamed well for me so I never understood why people used that instead of Twitch, which was not only a better service, but actively involved in the community.

Reading the skype exchanges, it's obvious that own3d is using the usual scamming method of "it'll be done tomorrow". every time Destiny is asking, he's being answered that they were busy but it's done today or tomorrow, basically own3d representative is acting the same way as a Nigerian scammer, classy. Now own3d needs a lawyer which is obviously a lie, as if own3d can't pay his streamers, own3d can't pay a lawyer either. It's just, again, a delaying tactic "sorry we can't pay, we're waiting that our fantasy lawyer to work on this". Usually the exit door for scammers is that after months and months, Destiny will get angry, and own3d will reply "If it's your way to do things, I won't pay" or "You breached the contract, I won't pay", and they'll expect their client to no go in court because it's inconvenient. Basically own3d is showing all the signs of being a scam, in both their way of doing "business" and in their way of handling their clients. If they can't pay a guy like Destiny who can give them a lot of bad press, I doubt they can pay anyone.
I really hope someone will warn the korean teams, if they scam Prime I'll be very very angry.

Are you one of those kids that keep spamming his fb statuses about "betraying" SC2? Because those people are beyond ridiculous. As for O3D, I stopped watching alot of streamers because they used it, because it didn't work. Twitch does everything right that O3D did wrong, and I'm not surprised they're sinking. Maybe the multitudes of people who usually go "MAN, FUCK DESTINY" whenever his name is mentioned. I for one have no problem with him. My question was, do those people qualify as "around here"? Surely retardation of that magnitude cannot be the majority?

Sad to see but Own3d look like a bunch of crooks if they are not paying out. Seems like they have screwed over everyone. Has anyone actually recieved full payment forom these guys or is it just some folks?

Although ive heard that twitch doesn't deliver but in a different way. DeMuslim was complaining he was getting like 1 dollar for 8 hours of streaming on twitch orso. So, he was guessing why it was so low : Does addblock at viewers side affect income? or is it a twitch-problem? or is he doing something wrong?
Im guessing huskystarcraft is right. In every business that is extremely new, it's like the wildwildwest. Just when the internet hyped on wallstreet, there was a similar wildwildwest. Millions for a company where just 2 people were working is, really really wierd. Well just have to patient until "new business" grows up
Still like twitch tho

As i said in my first post :
but then i read the other quotes This is sc2 related with the other quotes, this wouldn't be the case if it was only destiny's issue. Don't be a no brainer, read the whole things you quote/comment.

Real job > internets job
I've always been skeptical of non-cash generating activities like playing SC2 and how people could get paid for their "work".
