Yeah, this is the same guy who wrote "God of the Battlefield" about Savior, it's like he was trying to write a similar article about the problems of SC2, got writers block, and decided to turn it into a weird parody.

the mirror matchups would have been interesting

Finally someone put the time into this that it deserves. Shame it will just get ignored like its many predecessors.

That was a beautiful read.

Another whine thread but this time with pictures and more details. I hope blizz will remove fungal so you guyz will stop crying and will have nothing to whine about anymore ^^ oh wait, b4 that people were crying about roach, about mutas, about ..... so many things but people figured out after sometimes .
And who's the most successful foreigner overall? Naniwa and he's Protoss, not Zerg.

That said, the statistics you use are incredibly misleading and biased, as is your general flow. You make some pretty serious, and frankly quite absurd, accusations about Blizzard changing the game solely to make foreigners win, and mistake correlation with causation all over the place. I sympathize with people's frustration regarding the game. At one point I was very aggravated by what I perceived as the "clear" imbalance favoring Protoss. However, Starcraft 2 and its balance is infinitely more complicated than you acknowledge here and your proposed solutions create a thousand more problems that will be complained about the second any of your changes were implemented. Just as example, could you imagine how much rage would exist if the zergling were buffed? Mass ling is already a great early game defense and late game harass. My point is that your post, while well written, well planned out, and coherent without being too vitriolic and counterproductive, is sensationalist and misses the point in several places. As noted before me, it is essentially cleverly disguised anti-zerg sentiment, a la the current wave of hatred. Some of the comments in this thread are funnier then the article itself. >.>

the irony is that you haven't read it, since there haven't been many predecessors about Blizzard's conspiracy to empower white SC2 players.

Racist overtones aside, this post is right on the money.

I fucking adore the internet.
LOL reading so many of these posts, I am glad to see many against this post, but yes I definitely agree. Many people in this post definitely didn't read all of this; they think Ver is simply pointing out that Zerg is imba.

Those graphs made my jaw drop. I knew it was bad, but I never thought about it from a foreigner vs korean standpoint.
Also, I agree. I used to looooooveeeeeee TvZ. It was really, really hard. But it was relatively fair. After the infestor-ling style started appearing and the queen change, it became a dumb 3 base coinflip.
Great read, love the tongue-in-cheek-while-crying feel of the article

I like to look at it as two different sections, the first part is completely serious while the second part is a joke. It's probably a way to make this different than all the other posts we have on this subject.
This post explains it pretty much perfectly:
On December 04 2012 04:35 jubil wrote: The analysis of winrates and matchup history is serious (though written in a purposefully hyperbolic way)
The conjecture as to the reason for this (blizzard wants foreigners to win) is not (and is written in a comedic style, ie heavy sarcasm, star wars references, and psuedo-racist arguements)
/endspoilers
Now, you can question if it was a good idea or not but personally I thought it was funny.

I did read it--the snarky, obviously facetious "white boy" part was a bit oblique to be taken seriously don't you think?

People often use jokes as a mean to tell the truth. This can't be considered balance whine because "Lawl he joked about white people beating Koreans" and "conspiracy theory". Anyway, I really like his writing style and he makes a lot good points if you look past the jokes(some were quite good).
Now that the plans of The Empire have been exposed, the mighty Darth Kim backs off. Don't let him deceive you, now is the time to strike.

This is beautiful. Salute to you my Terran friend!

It is damn funny and enjoyed reading the entire thing. Anyone who is taking this article super serious...umm...How are you reading the OP without having a good laugh? It is a crazy conspiracy theory that is meant to be an entertaining and hilarious read.
that would probably have to do with the sheer amount of discussion that revolves around zerg, the queen patch, and late-game pvz at this point in the metagame. even in an supposedly humorous article, it's really hard to take this as anything but more bitching, regardless of the level of irony the OP inhabits.
also, I skimmed the whole thing and I'm really not picking up on the part where it's a joke. his prose gets flowery near the end and there are a few wink-wink-nudge-nudges, but that really doesn't imply anything besides authorial flourishing. I guess I'd be happier if it was a joke because the last bit is absurd, but if that's really the tone it isn't set well at all.

Stephano is much higher than Naniwa on the earnings list.
