It's a great step forward but if it is exactly like NA/SEA have atm we won't have cross server groups/clans/friends which would be a bit disappointing.

Global Play will give you access to StarCraft II game servers in regions outside your own, expanding the possibilities for eSports, exposing you to maps and games that aren’t yet published everywhere, and making it easy to play with your friends in other parts of the world. Each region will have separate profile data, meaning that characters, profiles, ladder rankings, progress, and friends lists will not carry over from region to region. With Global Play, you’ll have other regions to choose from as you create new characters, take on different ladder opponents, and perhaps try maps that you’ve never seen before. They certainly made a lot of extra bank on the fact some people needed more than one copy of the game to play on the other regions.

We're fucked or is there a way to transfer that other account on a new email so we can use it as smurf? If you log in on an account on the same email you get the choice of which character to log on to. This is why the character system exists.

Seriously what is this attitude that past purchases are invalid as soon as companies start renewing their policies You wouldn't buy a car, use it for 5 years, then go demand to get a partial refund because Toyota lowered the price tag

Feel sorry for all the people who have recently bought korean or other accounts because it is now redundant. Well, I guess they have a global smurf.

Not any time soon though but in say like 10-20 years time. Could technology advance as far as lessening latency or improving it?
