MMA's statement is hard countered by Jessica.

Wait, you mean the team manager assigned a personal coach and then make him pay for it, while he does not have a chance to look for any or have any knowledge for sponsorship?

Mind blown. Jessica should never ever manage any business again.

when did i say the team manager assigned a personal coach?

why are you making shit up? omfg .....

ok ill give a slighty more detailed explanation.

MMA introduced coach Ryu won, who at the time was a close friend of MMA, to jessica.

Jessica, MMA and Ryu met in person and coach Ryu was told by jessica that no salary would be paid by her

to him since he is MMA's personal coach.

Do you now understand???

It was MMA who introduced Ryu to jessica.

It does not matter who introduce coach Ryu to whom. It's a matter of allowing your player to get a personal coach without any 1.) contract or 2.) make sure that he will get paid. Moreover, MMA's performance increase due to coach Ryu's coaching would still benefit the teams in many way, such as fame and team league performance. If the team was not willing to pay him, then she should not allow MMA to have personal coach since the beginning. The decision to him had one was already a big mistake.

Now, I don't say that MMA was not wrong that he did not pay Coach Ryu. But it is just so amateurish from the Slayers management part to let this happen, instead of making sure that coach was rightfully compensated by the team because ,let's face it, the team benefits from coach Ryu coaching on MMA without holding any responsibility.

Amateurish? There's countless instances in sports where athletes pay their own trainers while still being part of a team.

True, but that is when athletes has regular salary that can make sure he would pay the coach. I doubt MMA could really personally hire coach Ryu with his regular salary (if there is any), so I would say there is more into this matter.

But it was just so amateurish for me for a team not to hire a coach for your "best" player and make sure he does not have to worry about paying him. It just reeked that Jessica doesn't understand how to manage the team.

True, and that holds true when the athlete pays a monthly salary to the coach. Apperantly MMA should've been paying a percentage of his winnings to Coach Ryu.

Well, he did said that he spit his reward with Coach Ryu, while Jessica claimed the opposite. We don't know what is the "truth" in this case, so anything further from this is purely speculation because right now, there are two possible truths exist at the same time.

No he didnt.

Why do you think Coach Ryu left for woongjin?

Think

Just think

Because Woongjin job is a million times better in every way than sticking with a team that everybody wants to leave anyway?

lol good answer.

I read the phone call too and I don't get why Crank is getting all the hate. Jessica seems to think that Crank lied about not joining a foreign team but Crank makes it clear that he was leaving the team because it was going way downhill (he didn't even have a contract). Boxer doesn't seem to share Jessica's view either (he never explicitly says that Crank lied and says something like "you're going to have to deal with all the crap we give you only because you were the first to leave the team"). Also Boxer's comment about Crank being at fault because he didn't handle MMA - seriously? Why the fuck would you leave handling your star player to another player? WTF are managers for? I would say Crank is the scapegoat here.

Correlation does not equal causation. You can not use the fact that coach Ryu left to Woongjin as an only evidence to implicate he did not pay. Unless you can provide concrete evidence (such as Coach Ryu's testimony or bank statement or money transfer slip) then he is not guilty beyond doubt.

Sounds consistent with Crank's earlier statement via Axiom...

And yeah, he DIDN'T have a contract so I really don't see why there's so much drama around him, with that fact in place...

I don't understand this though, you can't just join another team then claim you left the team already.

Not to mention streaming and explicitly asking for a foreign team not even a day after being officially released.

Wait, you can read Korean? ...So you can translate this?! Please?!?

I was going to attempt for the sake of peeps here. But I am retarded and I realize how much work the translators do here...ㅅㄳㄱ. Trust them with big stuff like this.

I would say Crank is the scapegoat here.

if in effect, Crank did leave SlayerS to join a foreign team (that's what happened, effectively), then you can't really blame Jessica for feeling lied to.

I don't understand this though, you can't just join another team then claim you left the team already.

He had no contract with Slayers.

Think

Just think

Correlation does not equal causation. You can not use the fact that coach Ryu left to Woongjin as an only evidence to implicate he did not pay. Unless you can provide concrete evidence (such as Coach Ryu's testimony or bank statement or money transfer slip) then he is not guilty beyond doubt.

we can ask Coach Ryu's side of the story then.

Coach Ryu's side wouldnt matter to most ppl here tho, because MMA is always right.

Even if he had lied, Jessica has no right to be ruining Crank's image like this. He did not have a contract and was not legally bound to not join another team. IMO, Crank could have just packed up and left without a single reason and Jessica should have left him alone.

ESF really needs to just put every single player on contract, having no legal consequences to these actions is so ridiculous.

Jessica thinks Crank left SlayerS in order to join a foreign team.

Crank maintains that he left SlayerS and joined a foreign team.

While leaving Slayers explicitly stating he wouldn't be on the lookout for a team and taking a rest.
