Well, aren't verbal agreements binding as well. In the professional world this should be accepted as fact. ESF got away with the whole NASL issue with out providing any written proof of communication between themselves and NASL which is just a huge oversight or straight out lie on their part, if they had recorded or backed up anything it would have provided critical proof.

As you can see, the recordings and stuff are actually needed to be heared. So i would not call this paranoid, but more or less normal practice.

This is getting ridiculous, there is no reason to drag Crank's name through the mud anymore, whether or not he is / was lying about anything. What is there to achieve in this path of vengeance? Crank didn't assault anyone with his statement, it was only an attempt to restore his image, and I don't see why he should be denied that right.

Yes, but it is also illegal to record someone even when making a verbal agreement, unless they are notified of said recording and are given a chance to refuse it. Not sure how koreans do it but I'm quite sure if jessica was in the US she would/could be taken to court for having recordings like that without the players consent.
