Thats a threat, she has power, he doesn't. Its a power play, she wants him to shut up and take it. If he doesn't she will ruin him. If he wasn't in TB's team his career would be over, luckily he is in the team.
Axiom gaming also will take a massive PR hit from this incident with CranK being the sole player on the team. S.Korean might never support the team in any way. Any misstep by them will have a catastrophic repercussion. Well, I don't think foreign teams really need S Korean fan support that much. EG, Liquid etc are big teams due to foreigner support, no S Korea support. But they at least have good PR from Korea. The team might not get any fans in the capital sanctuary of esport. And when that happens, sponsors won't be happy with the team and decide to pull out. EG and Liquid have great reps there and that's a selling point for sponsors. And picking up puma was supposed to be the same kind of Pr suicide too yet EG was fine. Axiom will be just fine, despite what naysayers say. I'm sure after all this shit ends most sensible people won't blindly support jessica anyway as it's becoming quite apparent that she wasn't just wronged by every person in korea like she likes to pretend she was. actually she couldve been men act really bad towards women over there not to the mention the fact she's sort of a TV celeb might piss em off So you are making a general statement that Korean men treat Korean women poorly? That is like saying the French are lazy. I lived there for some time while ago and it was pretty sad to witness. Different countries with have different standards. I am sure most people would view the French with their 35 hr work week and many vacation dates to be lazy as well. lol are you seriously arguing about the legal worktime in france ? (which you obviously don't know much about)
No, I am saying that you shouldn't make general statements like that. Like you example, I don't know the details, so I don't just make general statements base on the hour work time.
Edit: your logic seems to be that since you saw some Korean men beat their gf on the street, then it is likely that since eSports is a male dominated field, Jessica got screwed over by all the males.

No InControl have a big fanbase internationally. So sponsors go look at him and say "Huh, sounds like a good pick for a team to invest!" So even though Puma might be controvesial, InControl is still in play for the team and thus sponsors are still willing to do that.
However, that's is not the case for Axiom. So to respond to you, I really don't care about his fanbase number in the country. But you really have to look over the grand scheme of things.

One is cultural, the other is f'd up.
all I stated is that Jessica could've been segregated to some degree because she's a successful chick and others were kind of loosy / poor Korean dudes working in a related gaming business, which isn't exactly stellar, puting them at disadvantage in front of a women, which given the general ambiant machism in Korea, could put them in a bad mood.

Nobody's denying him the right to try to "attempt to restore his image", he can do it whenever, however he wants. But if that attempt involves more lies at the expense of others, he exposes himself to retaliation.

So you are one of those guys who would invest into something w/o giving it deep thought. Flash news: investors look at the total package of the assets before placing a price on it. TB don't matter nearly as much as the engine behind the organization, the player himself.

I lived there for some time while ago and it was pretty sad to witness. edit : back then at night, seeing a man randomly beat up his gf in middle of the street wasn't so uncommon Treating women badly and beating them up is not the same.
Oh, I am sure there is some jealously there. Not just with Jessica. Don't you think other teams weren't envious of Boxer's huge sponsorship, living in a nice area, etc? Aren't players jealous of Mvp, IM, MC, etc? But enough to do all the things they did for that specific reason only? I am sure there were a lot more conflicts between eSF and Slayers that are not public.

I am sure most people would view the French with their 35 hr work week and many vacation dates to be lazy as well. lol are you seriously arguing about the legal worktime in france ? (which you obviously don't know much about) No, I am saying that you shouldn't make general statements like that. Like you example, I don't know the details, so I don't just make general statements base on the hour work time. Edit: your logic seems to be that since you saw some Korean men beat their gf on the street, then it is likely that since eSports is a male dominated field, Jessica got screwed over by all the males. Well I could give a nice list of fucked up things I've seen on an almost daily basis done to women in Korea. I don't know, to me the way men behaved over there was reaaaaaally fucked up. Well the time i spent in france convinced me that there is no french guy that actually can drive a car properly (not to mention, park). That does not mean that im right though. It may very well be that women are not treated equal to the women here, but you're way exaggerating, i think. I'm talking first hand experience and im no way exagerating shit. And I love how you guys compare stupid stuff to actually mistreating an entire class of people.
Me too. I said the time i spent in france. After that my car looked like it fell into a meatgrinder. Of course i am exaggerating, but you were the one telling us that its "normal" for a woman to get beaten up by his bf over there. Thats by no means exaggerated, right?

But EG have multiple of other players in their roster. InControl, IdrA are very marketable whereas Axiom have only CranK on their roster so far, and having 100% of your roster with bad reps is definitely not something sponsors would want to see in their investment. You think InControl has a big fanbase in S Korea? Really? No InControl have a big fanbase internationally. So sponsors go look at him and say "Huh, sounds like a good pick for a team to invest!" So even though Puma might be controvesial, InControl is still in play for the team and thus sponsors are still willing to do that. However, that's is not the case for Axiom. So to respond to you, I really don't care about his fanbase number in the country. But you really have to look over the grand scheme of things. Foreign sponsors of foreign teams happen to care more about foreign fans than Korean fans. And guess who watches all these English language streams? Hint: It's not Koreans.
Axiom is fine.

I actually think they banked on the end of BW and them taking the old spot with blizzard beeing on their side (with all the big sponsorships) but that it didn't work at all.
Most of established Korean sc2 pro team beeing without money / sponsorship after such a long time in the country beeing the mecca of esports looks like a pretty huge fail to me.

To some extent, I think the ultimate answer to Slayers collapse is going to be that everyone fucked up. I'm sure some of the players were divas. I'm sure manager J upsetting things from within was a total mess. I'm also sure that Slayers management (Jessica, etc.) did a poor job resolving everything.
If you just look at the team and the number of players they lost/had to demote at various times it becomes clear the environment in that house could not have been too good. Golden, Sleep, Ganzi, MMA, Alicia, Dragon, Crank, and Taeja all left the team or were punished at various times. Three of their top players were leaving the house to play LoL at PC bangs. There was the massive twitter drama with Eve, where Jessica threatened to sue people. Regardless of who's fault it is that Slayers collapsed, that many people either leaving the team or being demoted demonstrates to me a really terrible team environment. To some extent that falls on players for not looking out for each other. To some extent it falls on management - because regardless of how shitty players are acting it is managements job to take care of the players, keep them happy, and work out conflicts with them. This doesn't seem to have ever happened - people either left or there was lots of drama over their punishments.

Okay, then tell me the difference between common and normal.
Also:

"Almost daily basis" is not "uncommon", its "normal".
