Since I'm seeing that a lot, I'd like to add that those 10 years are pretty common in more "unusual" businesses. It doesn't matter if it's the pickup industry, NLP, poker or general self-improvement. Those who are successful in those areas can afford to insist on such conditions, mostly because apparently not everyone has figured it out in the way they have.
Hell, people who attend my workshops on like mobbing or teamwork have to sign a short document where they state that they won't conduct workshops in that area for the next 5 years minimum. If I'd work on an actual training program for a gaming house it makes sense to aim for at least 10 years simply because the e-sports industry is horribly backwards about this type of stuff and not well-developed at all. Being ahead of everyone else directly translates into lots of profit in an area like this.
Obviously none of us (including the OP) can tell how much their concepts are "worth" but they have all the right in the world to protect them. What I'm wondering about personally is why the OP didn't sign any contracts before moving to Poland. And why did he pay them in cash without getting any receipt? I'm really curious about the statement from MoW, but I don't think it makes sense to shift all the blame on them and seeing the OP as a completely innocent sheep.
No, I hear you and understand what you are saying. My statement was really based on the OP's original statement that he cannot be part of another gaming house for the next 10 years. It looks like he has actually edited his statement or I misread it. A standard non-compete clause where he cannot "establish" a gaming house, that I can understand, and I know those typically range from 5 to 15 years.

Sure you can live of 600€ in Poland pretty decently...but if pros decide to go there and have everything taken care of to just practice and improve on their game the price is obviously okay.
Nothing wrong with that. Problem is also the revenue from streams (which entirely depends on % which are unknown to us) and they weren't delivered what promised (coach, healthy enviroment, training schedules, etc).

My appartement is 400 bucks, for 60 m², that's two rooms, a roomy bathroom and a large kitchen. And I don't have to live in Poland. The remaining 200 Euro would buy 110 pounds of cheese, or 300 liters of milk, or 150 kilos of carrots, or 300 kilos of potatoes, or 75 kilos of chicken, or 20 kilos of chocolate, so I could eat like a king every day of the month from that.
There is no fucking way the additional streaming revenues are remotely justified and the Chat-Log makes me not want to support any member of the MoW-house in any way, shape or form.
While I agree that 600 is way too much, your argumentation lacks some points. First of all: is your appartment furnished? For the players get all the furnature they need, which includes a good computer capable of playing sc2 on ultra while streaming. Also while 200 Euro is definitely enough for food and drinks, it's definitely not enough to "eat like a king every day of the month", at least certainly not where you live.

Damn, seriously? That's like, even cheaper than Korea. And I thought Korea was cheap.
No, he's full of shit. It's more like 50€, at least in Warsaw.
It depends on the city. I got a 20€ per night on Krakow on a quite good, pretty and clean place, with shower, wifi and tv. So i am pretty sure you could find better bargains.
Well, I'm sure you can find a "place" for 10€ in Poland, but I wouldn't exactly call it a "hotel".

Give them time at least without moaning not within 2 hours.
Just means it's more likely they went to bed. It's still 2 hours from when they posted that they would release a statement in 2 hours regardless of timezones. Aside from that, yes, sitting back waiting.
For those people who dont know anything about european prices etc...What are 600 €
Swizerland: u can´t even affort your food per month for 600€ not to mention any kind of living or dont even think of having good food. a small cup of coffee costs about 7sFr(5€/6,5dollar)
the Same with Sweden Norway/maybe GB;
Austria/Germany/FR/North of Italy: you could affor the rent for a very small appartement if it is not in the center of a town or anywhere near a famous street or building or sight. but thats it no food or anything.... PL/Czech rep./Hungary/mb a few other eastern european countries: 600€ is enough. and they get that from every player + sponsors.
That's basically only true for Switzerland and Citys like London, Paris or Munich. You could get over 100m² in Berlin for 600€. And I rarely pay more than 200€ for food per month, even though I eat quite a lot.
Dude i ment 600 for food+appartment +inet+maybe go out on weekend +maybe go to an event onetime ,,, i bet you will have to pay mor than 600
It seems like the people who run the MoW house are a bunch of young and naive assholes who only care for money and don't really know how to fucking run something like that. Thats just my opinion though.

so basicaly if you wanna have fun put another 100 euro and you can go out ocasionaly .
so total an apartment with everything you want so you can practice total in east europe is = 400 euro . i have a friend polish telling me in poland they are more poor then in romania . i dont know but i just say how is here . so ye in east europe is very cheap . 600 euro is BOSS MODE . ppl getting paid here 250 euro / month .
You pay 100 euros for a 1-room place in smaller cities. In Bucharest it starts around 150 euros in the suburbs far away from the metro station. If you want to get a decent place (not central, jsut decent), 5-10 minutes walk to the metro station, you'll have to pay around 200 or 250-280 for a 2-room apartment. The same prices go for Cluj-Napoca, another big university city.
However, I think you overestimated the food. People don't tend to eat that much out in Romania, at least not those I know. If you only eat out like 1-2 times a week and actually cook at home, you wont spend more than 120-150 Euros. The same goes for facilities, you can away with like 30 to 50 Euros depending on the season.
Up until this year I lived off of 300 Euros sharing a room in a 2-room apartament: 62.5 Euros rent 30-50 Euros utilities and 180-210 Euros to spend (eating out 1-2 times a week/buying all the other food for myself and partying like twice a month)

If they went to bed, that's the end of them, you don't fucking sleep when your business is about to crumble.
I don't understand. He moved in and started paying before signing off on the contract? Normally you should not even be allowed to stay there before signing a contract unless he was some sort of guest first. How did this happen?

So what it is still 2 hours even if it is a different time zone :O
no its later though and they may of had somethiny already on which they had to cancel etc.. Really they should of said that the statement will be out tommorrow morning instead. Gives them time to actually get their facts completly right and think and not just write trash.
