See for a while I didn't like ROOT because it seemed like they had no limits on who they would take. You could be as controversial a player as you want, but you can still be on ROOT. Players like TT1 and MajOr are players who while they are skilled, they have a lot more controversy surrounding them then they have results. Then you have Destiny who is--at the very least thus far in his career--famous for his controversy rather than his results. But here they're showing that they actually will get rid of players who become as controversial as Destiny. I like ToD (Human's fighting ^^) and MajOr, but I really didn't like ROOT. Now I have a lot less problems with them. | ||

So...the girl who posted his "private" pics is his girlfriend? She did that because Destiny posted nude pics of her to his 2 close friends? Can someone confirm this is what happened? Just want to make sure I get the story right.. | ||

This community, as well as the one on reddit or anywhere is else is not responsible for these players and the stupid shit some of them do, whether its racism, sexism, bigotry, general douchey behavior, homophobia, pedophilia or whatever else you can come up with. Sponsors dont not wish to be associated with such individuals for obvious reasons, calling them out on it and putting a spotlight is the only right thing to do. The community is not here to cover up for your inability like a professional | ||

I wouldn't personally want to be associated with someone who shares private pictures with his friends. Is it my business though? No, it isn't. We basically have the power to destroy anyone professionally who is dependant on sponsorship, if we rally in large enough numbers, at least in this business. There's no question about that. I would never believe that I had the right to do it though. To believe the opposite, well, that kind of self-righteousness sickens me. Support those who you want to support, and let others be, and the business side will take care of it self. | ||

It's not constructive to bypass the people who actually have the responsibility over the team before you give them a chance to act. Especially the cunts off Reddit, some of whom didn't even know what Starcraft is, who Destiny is and any kind of context to this behaviour. Sadly these people exert influence because there aren't an equivalent number of people messaging sponsors with positive messages. | ||

In a PRIVATE conversation, he talked about something and showed something to TWO people. Then, the girl finds out, blabla and SHE shares Destiny's private parts to basically EVERYONE. Excuse me for the caps, but people don't seem to understand - what destiny did was rude, but it was in private. Just think about what would happen if every single private conversation you had would be out in the open, I bet some people would go apeshit berserk on some stuff you said, or stuff I said for that matter. As for sharing nude pictures - it is not my cup-of-tea, but in some groups of friends these things are considered normal, and it is a 'gentleman's agreement' that these pictures are only for watching, not for sharing. Further, I don't know if I'd be more pissed off to have secrets of me, or nude pics of me shared to friends, but I think the former... However, only because the girl leaked the chat + private pictures to everybody, he's getting fired and getting financial loss from it. Besides, the girl released private information about where he lives, potentially endangering his son and roommate, which is totally not cool. What Destiny did was not cool, but private. What the BlueTea did was ILLEGAL. Just turn it the other way around for a second... a girl shares a nude pic of Destiny in private with her friends, and Destiny shares (via a high-profile twitter account) nude pics of the girls private parts with the rest of the word. An absolute shitstorm would ensue, en nobody would blame the girl here. Destiny could absolutely file a lawsuit here and claim for financial loss- I don't think he will (or should), and the girl should be very, very thankful for that. | ||
