on a side note, gsl 4 qualifiers have been pushed back to 9/12.
i think there will be chances that cj and khan may not join gsl4 along with whichever team that gets through the playoff since they've already been seeded for semi and finals for proleague. proleague ends 9/22.

I really doubt they will hold back all the players

maybe the ones that are going to play in the finals they will.

And what about the "big event" Kespa was talking about? I guess they were forced to show their hand on that one.

as in not all 90 players entering? i highly doubt even half may join because of proleague not ending till late september but that should be up to team's discretion, not kespa.

I guess not. But with 100 players in qualifiers, code A should be filled with lots of KeSPA players.

Who said that they will send many players into qualifiers?
All you may get 3 weakest that are willing to look for a new team.
I'd be very surprised if any stars showed up.

Kespa cannot afford to send weakest players. The participation of stars is also pretty hard to predict.

Keep in mind that to play in code A you just have to be in masters in korea.
Now look at Kespa players. They all have pro-player licences. Imagine a licensed player losing to some scrub who decided to take part in the qualifiers. Heck with Kespa players we have a chance that for the first time code A qualifier will have no byes in first round (s)

For Kespa this GSL 4 code qualifier could well be one of the hardest obstacle they ever face. Thats one of the reason they wanted to delay it as much as possible.

To put it simple. Kespa players aren't allowed to lose in the code A qualifier - since a lose to some random kr ladder hero would be as big of a upset as ACE winning PL. (no offence ACE fans)

They will definitely not participate GSTL. If everything relation-wise is good, maybe they can play a championship final between Proleague champion and GSTL champion.

Read again what you wrote.... Took out means that they were already in it in the first place.

So ESF, not GOM which you are blaming, is not allowed to have their players not compete in OSL but KESPA can have their players not compete in GSL, how is that not the definition of hypocritical?

I said KESPA can have their players not complete, yes the first time I misstated, but i rephrased it as you can see above and you restated that I said took their players out which as you can see in the post I did not.

esf would have hurt ogn(maybe cancel event, FIRST SC2 OSL!!) more than kespa hurting gomtv(disappointing hyped fans). osl was already set. gsl4 didnt even start.

This was started by KESPA not competing in GSL4, everything that followed was a result of this decision and therefore the blame belongs to KESPA.

I don't understand the "KEspa send 90 players"
Why the hell Kespa would send anyone, just let those who can play, play. Kespa sending players sounds like the players can be chosen with arbitrary criteria.

edit : good news anyway

In the long run, will we have a consolidated Korean SC2 organization, or 2 organizations like we have today?
A lot will depend on how the interest picks up in the next few months.
