Nice to see that this has come to an end.

You know OSL gave half their spots to GSL players right? Wasn't there a qualifier? The Kespa-players and GSL-players were in different qualification brackets, so 8 GOM players were guaranteed to qualify no matter what.

You know OSL gave half their spots to GSL players right? Wasn't there a qualifier? Yes, but one for kespa and one for non-kespa. You can consider non-kespa players to be gsl players i guess.

Fear not...they're going to release a beta test before unleashing the final product

to you guys pointing out the WCS as a worthy display of the kespa players results - what a joke.. just because they do well at 1 half-assed qualifier it doesn't mean they are ready to compete and i don't blame them at all for not wanting their players to compete yet. I also feel pretty bad for kespa to be forced into sending people (and trolling gom by sending 90 players), i just feel like they are being bullied into to something they don't feel is right for the scene they created on their own - yes, people keep forgetting kespa actually created this scene that we all seem to take for granted
but whatever, the emberassing results will be sort of entertaining too i guess

well thats all good news, the kespa players have been playing the most exciting games of sc2 so i hope to see a lot of them play in gsl

I share your enthusiasm, but saying that the most exciting SC2 games so far has been by kespa players.. You haven't watched much SC2 have you?

Troll bait most likely.

They wanted to compete, they opened the OSL to the non-KeSPA players. And there is not only the KeSPA created scene. KeSPA wanted to be a part of the scene outside KeSPA and they have to be symetrical in what they want and what they give.

Booyah! Kespa got owned. Btw, given his role in the ESF pull-out, isn't this just more proof that NesTea is the creator of the universe? I mean, to this point, Kespa was as unstoppable as Terran was in early sc2 and then NesTea rolled in. Just saying...
But seriously, this is great news.

I guess it is a lot about storylines. If you watch your favourite players play you enjoy it more.

of course they wanted to be a part of it - they'll be a part of everything in good time. it's no news to anyone that both kespa itself and the kespa players have said it will take a long time to be worthwile in a competition, and now they are under the peer pressure of the entire world to go an emberass themselves
EDIT: about opening the OSL for non kespa players - this is a completely different issue where kespa have the chance to showcase 'the best players' in a kespa run tournament to give kespa players and kespa fans to chance to see SC2 at the highest possible level without giving up integrity

Didn't many kespa players want to try and qualify for the GSL already?
Also nice dodge edit about the OSL. It's ok as long as it's on kespas terms and good for the OSL, super bad if it's the other way around...

but whatever, the emberassing results will be sort of entertaining too i guess Just because you're a king, doesn't mean you can't be dethroned. People got fed up with bad kings and coup them all the time. Kespa said before that they will participate in GSL, but they don't. The reason for not participating in GSL 3 was the players were not good enough, for GSL4, they went with "the schedule conflict and GOM didn't give out schedule in hand", so now GOM changed the qualifier schedule for Kespa, they shouldn't have any other reasons to whine.
You can say that Kespa players are not good enough, so Kespa doesn't want their players to play. Other people can say Kespa screwing GOM again and wants all the glory to themselves. Because there're not enough evidences to support both arguments, both of them don't hold much value beyond speculations.

If they wanted to wait they would have needed to keep the OSL restricted to KeSPA players too. They will now first play the non-KeSPA players in OSL anyway. And in the WCS qualifier they entered a qualifier before qithout the fear of embarrassing themselves.
Edit: I didn't read your Edit in time. But I am not convinces by that. the OSL and GSL want the same players mixture, why should only OSL get them.
