There is no gap BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA Seriously look at the qualifiers... yesterday I looked through the first day's results. The only kespa player to win a game against a code B gsl player was Flash over Brown, and then he proceeded to lose to another code B player in Sniper. Here's the whole day 1 results where I noticed a Kespa player facing a GSL player: Hoejja 1-2 Harrier Flying 0-2 Brown Flash 2-0 Brown, Flash 1-2 Sniper Crazy-hydra 1-2 inori Bisu 0-2 Moon Fantasy 0-2 Pet Umm... those results are olde. You no watch WCS Korea? Since when have month old results not been significant? None of the players who played in WCS Korea played in the qualifiers, so we don't have any way to judge. Presumably Kespa picked the very BEST they have... Proleague results were used; when you don't know what you're talking about you should just shut up sometimes... Well then that proves my point entirely. Those are the very best SC2 players Kespa has. No one else holds a candle to even code B gsl players, as seen by the qualifiers. Reality > Shine/Symbol/Yugiho. just an example of your ignorance. oh the bw elitist shines in you.. roro was good.. really really good, reality was okey.. but after the top 3-4 players what have kespa had to offer so far? the skill gap inside the kespa ranks is biiiiiiig

I dont see a way how kespa can join s4 without loosing their face. Looks like this will end up in a "war". A good thing when you ask me. Better fight this out now than to have a cold war for years. PS: i agree with viasacra89 This "who have better players" discussion is total offtopic

Reality > Shine/Symbol/Yugiho. just an example of your ignorance. TBH I don't think you can judge wins by KeSPA players like that. I think that they had an edge in th sense that the GSL players cannot prepare for what was coming (styles, strategies..etc) because they have very little information to analyse. The KeSPA players on the other hand, had months of information which they can use to prepare a particular strategy for the nuances of one player. I am not taking away the fact that the KeSPA players are good, how much they caught up over the past few months is just astounding, however I think we still need to wait a few months for things to stabilize before we can really pass judgement to who really is at the top of SC2 in Korea.

Foreigner tournaments and foreign fan participation is at an all time high. 10,000 people went to IPL 4 and over 3 million people watched from all over the world. Then MLG Anaheim did just as well if not better. IPL 5 is coming up now and that has the potential to do even better. With GSL, IPL, MLG, and all the filler tournaments in between, SCII will not die any time soon, whether KeSPA plays nice or not. The ESF is rightly reacting to that. KeSPA can play bully no more.

![]() ![]() The one hope of salvation would be Blizzard & Auction (sponsors of this OSL) stepping up the pressure and forcing Kespa to agree to sticking to their original commitment. However, I just don't see it happening given how huge their egos are.

Exactly right. Worst case scenario is a split scene in Korea, but the Federation players participate in tournies worldwide and have entertained a large global audience and earned that following. Kespa, on the other hand, will still hold a firm grip on their players and they'll be restricted to the same old OSL/PL and some online MLG matches (unless Kespa comes up with an excuse not to do those too). SC2 does not need Kespa, the Federation and the world knows that, the question is if Kespa themselves will figure it out before it's too late.
