Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything. |

Millenium already came out and said that Stephano is leaving them and that MLG Summer Championships will be his last event for them. No announcement on joining EG yet because he hasn't officially joined yet.

Good luck man, you deserve it. I hear its more like +15k$ per month. I hope you're not delusional enough to believe that. They make $50-60k a year MAX... and I think I'm being generous there. Honestly most of you are probably not out of high school and don't have a clue about salaries in the real world... $15k/month = $180,000 / year. That's more than engineers with 20 years work experiences, on par with average doctors salaries, etc.. You really believe someone who plays a video game that ONLY contributes sponsor exposure makes THAT much money? Seriously, you people need to get a clue. You got no idea what you talking about. Stephano will get one of the world´s highest payed salaries for a Starcraft player. 15k$ per month isn't bad guess. I think it will be between 12-16k$ but we will see I'm sure EG will PR the shit out of his salary And BTW I'm a mechanical engineer I know exactly how much we make!
I can guarantee you that Stephano will not make $15k per month. It's a horrible guess. Remember the WC3 teams when they paid their players enormous salaries for not that much prize money in return--they all died. Stephano might be one of the best foreigners in the world but $180k per year is way too much when you compute all the prize money and streaming money. There's probably money from publicity and sponsors, but even the most popular sc2 players won't make enough money to compensate for that big of a paycheck. Hell, I even doubt HuK even makes six figures. For a guy that makes at most $30k prize money per year, I doubt all the streaming and sponsor money is enough to justify six figures.

You really think Stephano makes 15k a month? You're obviously not very bright...
There's no way this salary is even 10k a month (Moon's rumoured salary in WC3) - my guess would be somewhere in the 5k - 6k range + prize money and travel, max.

Alex sure knows how to find money. It's not really an industry of needing results, as much as just needing to get your name pasted onto everything. They house quite popular players, they make commercials. A vast amount of people like Idra, whenever you see Idra you see sponsors. Hosting EG events does the same thing. As well as the amount of replies in this thread about EG. This is also why its silly to think they will need to replace anyone because they might be acquiring another zerg player. If Stephano decided he wanted to live at the house full time, sure they may need to send someone home, but that's unlikely that he will do that.
Jokes can be made about EG being some type of retirement for the pros. That's not the case, EG can just pay and reward these players more than others for their constant hard work. Get the poster players in an EG shirt they win. Though don't dislike them for rewarding the players with a comfortable salary.

I love EG. I love Stephano.
I hope it's true :D

Anyway, it's gonna be fun Stephano at EG, I'm pretty sure he is able to say in front of the camera that Monster is shitty because he will not like the taste of it. I'm expected big facepalm moment for EG managers, because, let's face it, Stephano will never really care about this. ^_^

I can tell your incredibly ignorant and believe all the hype about TB's "frathouse" comments. Let's get it straight: TB never step foot in the house. That should be the first warning for people to not listen to the guy's BS. But unfortunately the SC2 community is full of big-headed imbeciles that jump on every single bandwagon they can find. Stephano himself even said EG players practice constantly, on par with Korean teams and definitely much more than other foreign teams.
Team Liquid's players aren't even that good. The only good players are it's Koreans. Even Zenio has been struggling. I can guarantee you that Liquid would be nothing without it's Koreans. At least EG can say that it can still compete top-level if its Koreans weren't there.

Funny how a year ago EG was getting bashed for having PuMa on their team because he was an korean player but now when you see Taeja winning for Liquid no one says shit. Most Liquid fans are so bias.

Has any player actually improved since joining EG? No, actually some of them seem to have gone backwards in the pro scene if anything. So maybe they are like the kids who get the Benz from their parents before they work hard in college, seems less of a reason for one to actually improve their standing.
Just look at the Korean scene, they have players you have not even heard of that can beat some of the best foreign players. Once EG sign players and actually improve them and get one or two to regularly sit in code s then you can come back to me legitimately and say my post is dumb. Until that point you are looking like some sort of sad virgin who only looks for posts for some pety sort of argument.
