Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything. |

You will probably have a good chance to become a popular caster though. The amount of cluelessness and lack of logic in posts like these is astounding. It's amazing how hard people to try convince themselves that EG is the bad guy when the reality is that it's not their fault that no other teams can afford what they can. Yet somehow it's evil to offer great players salaries they are deserving of.

Well people are being stupid when they say that. They seem to forget Puma's good results for the first 6 or so months when he joined EG, all of idra's tournament wins when he was with EG and good results in GSL/MLG all were with EG but they seem to forget that.
I find it irritating to read as it's like they did really good lol.

The salary is so high that players don't feel the urge to win tournaments. That hapenned to Idra, to Huk and probably will happen to Stephano and Thorzain. And there is nothing wrong with that as long as EG doesn't think it's wrong since it's their players and their money.
I do understand they keeping incontrol. He has a natural talent to bring attention to the team, he is such a nice guy.
But then u look at Machine, Lzgamer and they have been with EG forever and never brought any attention to the team, neither results. That's probably why the new players don't get hunger for wins. They look at the team and the guys that have been there for so long and think if they would ever get kicked from the team with guys like machine and lzgamer.

And he really seemed to enjoy the TSL house But I feel like Stephano would get along with anyone so I guess its not a really big deal ... GL where ever he ends up.

You're inserting negativity into a thread where it's off topic. I know it might seem trendy to hate EG, and you might think it's fun to throw gas on a drama fire, but maybe be a little more mature with your posts. Actually why don't you just get the fuck out of the thread and go play SC2, the community would be better off. Agreed. Most of us are waiting to see how EG does at MLG, but I guess the drama queens need something to do until then. Like every MLG people expect a lot from them and each time they have mixed results. For a team that spends its time running around telling the world they consider themselves as the best, it's a little bit disappointing.
Mix results like Team Liquid, complexity and every other non-korean team gets. EG is not special, they lose to koreans too. Team Liquid has a number of European players who did not do well in WCS Europe. But EG took second place.

It's just stupid guys, Stephano will continue to perform great, regardless of his team. Thorzain wins a tournament, joins EG, and then does nothing for Several months. He qualifies for TSL only to get demolished by Hasuobs(very underrated EU Protoss granted) 3-0 in the first round. Huk is one of the only non-Koreans to win an mlg excluding Naniwa winning Dallas, signs with EG, and then falls off the face of the Earth. Literally, I haven't heard any notable achievement he has accomplished since joining EG. Liquid is at least more consistent. Zenio was already a Code A Zerg player that turned hot AFTER joining Liquid. But he did just that: got hot, and was on a nice streak, before crashing back down. Thorzain and Huk were easily two of the top foreigners before joining EG. Now they're pretty much nothing.
Huk won a 2nd MLG and thorzain won WCS Sweden. You're not smart, bud.

LOL.

Well, that's sad. I'm sure it's a great career move for Stephano but I will always be an EG anti-fan, so it's kind of disappointing. I wish more teams had the sponsorships to compete with EG, but as it is, they just can't be matched when they are set on picking up a player. Not that it has really seemed to help as far as results are concerned.

It's because Liquid has a more favorable light than EG when they targeted players who were already under contract with another team etc.
Jon-o lost his passion for the game long ago and that was a relatively short stint man if you look at the old GSL format and the fact he just won Dallas so I don't get the point you are trying to make.
I don't think EG is capable of grooming players who aren't already stars into winners. Let's see what they do with Suppy as before he was picked up he was an emerging star. Other than that, they don't really have anyone on roster who is either a) emerging or b) homebred.
They aren't in the business to raise stars who don't already have starpower attached to them.
What people are saying is no different than what people say about Artosis when he selects a player and they lose or what Kim Carrier does. So and so will win yet they almost always lose.
Fortunately for EG Stephano probably has the skills to make this not effect him so much considering his mindset and how he already practices.
Thing is once the KeSPA teams takeoff. They'll really take off.

That's not a major championship as I pointed out earlier before. Several pages ago in fact just look at my posting history in this thread and you'll find it.
