Stephano leaving Millenium, [possibly] to EG - Page 42

Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything.

As for cherry-picking top talent? Salary cap system. Then you don't get the Yankees. Otherwise this would happen in every sport, given unequal funding between organizations.

Taeja was hailed as one of SlayerS' most talented players. I bet if he joined EG he'd be lynched. But no, he joined Liquid and people rejoiced. Jinro was good once. He got into a long slump and never recovered. But he didn't go to EG, so no reason to hate on him, right? I really don't get you guys.

Explain why you think so rather than just post "ok stephano will start to lose now when he joins EG" which is stupid. I wouldn't say your post is helping anyone more than mine is, why is it that my post needs to help someone? Just ignore it if you don't like my opinions or how I express myself. As for why I think Stephano's results will get worse with EG, just look at their previous top players that they've recruited. Compared to what their were before joining EG and now is pretty big difference, in both skill wise and attitude.

You are contributing to the bad side/vocal minority of the community that everyone always laments. If you're dishing out general EG criticism and talking about the so-called curse in this thread, then make no mistake, you're a drama queen. You're inserting negativity into a thread where it's off topic. I know it might seem trendy to hate EG, and you might think it's fun to throw gas on a drama fire, but maybe be a little more mature with your posts. Actually why don't you just get the fuck out of the thread and go play SC2, the community would be better off. Agreed. Most of us are waiting to see how EG does at MLG, but I guess the drama queens need something to do until then.

Seriously though, in my opinion EG is like a black hole of esports. Good player get in and never show up again (at top places in tournaments). I hate how they miss so many opportunities with they team house.

Compared to what their were before joining EG and now is pretty big difference, in both skill wise and attitude. Can you elaborate on the difference in attitudes? I'm assuming by big players you refer to JYP, Puma, Thorzain and HuK. In what way have their attitudes, whatever that even means, changed and do you have any evidence that supports this? Otherwise this is just more nonsensical drivel from someone who just hates EG for whatever reason and is either too young or irrational to actually think what they are saying in their haste to spew more hate.

As for EG - they have just picked up the best foreign player and probably the most popular player too. It's a big coup for them. I am sure Stephano will continue to grow and maintain his consistent streak. Also EG WILL send him to play in Code S. You know it is coming. Millenium lose their best player but Stephano has done immense wonders already in raising their profile globally and so Millenium have already got a lot from signing up a young French schoolboy! Stephano will continue to go from strength to strength and now they have Stephano, so will EG! Also it is somewhat silly for people to think that Stephano's results will be effected by those of his team-mates. Were his results under Millenium influenced by the result of Adelscott or Tarson etc? Of course not. It is absurd to even think so.

I know what you're thinking. "EG also bought successful Koreans, so this can't be right". You see, that's what they want you to think. This is one of the reasons they got Puma and JYP. But look at the big picture: what connects Puma and JYP? That's right, they were both TSL members. They're actually coach Lee's agents, they make sure EG is doing it's designed job and they report directly to him. The whole Puma scandal was faked so we wouldn't realize what's actually happening, but with a combination of well informed sources and the power of deduction I figured it out.

Sorry but this is not really an excellent post because Starcraft is not a team based game in the sense of like a MOBA or fps where you need actual teamwork. Now if there was an actual 2v2,3v3, or 4v4 league then it would be an actual team base but of course that would unlikely happen. Starcraft is an individual sport. Results are based on a single player and a single player alone. The only stacked team that actually produces results and even proved it recently is LG-IM

Like every MLG people expect a lot from them and each time they have mixed results. For a team that spends its time running around telling the world they consider themselves as the best, it's a little bit disappointing.

The choice between the different organizations who have aboarded me has not been easy. As I can't plan a long-term career as much as I want to continue my studies in a near future, I had the hard task to weigh the pros and the cons to determine what would better correspond to my projects. Thereby, my collaboration with Millenium will end on 31st August. It was an experience which allowed me to success as a player and I'd never reached these peaks without their support. I want to thank all the people who contributed to give me a chance, since Warcraft 3. It was a great adventure for 4 years which led me around the world and it's obvious that my victories are also theirs. Millenium remains a great organization which will not stop growing, despite my departure. Finally, I want to thank my fans for their support everyday, in good and bad times. I intend to continue to defend our colors, whatever happens and I hope you will continue following me, regardless my new team.

On August 22 2012 02:12 Zealos wrote: What is this post!?!! Do people not think anymore. Thorzain hasn't even been in EG long, and his skill level certainly hasn't deteriorated since joining. Huk's slump didn't start till long after joining EG, so that point is pretty damn irrelevant too. Why isn't anyone complaining about the Liquid curse because Zenio hasn't really performed recently? It's just stupid guys, Stephano will continue to perform great, regardless of his team. Thorzain wins a tournament, joins EG, and then does nothing for Several months. He qualifies for TSL only to get demolished by Hasuobs(very underrated EU Protoss granted) 3-0 in the first round. Huk is one of the only non-Koreans to win an mlg excluding Naniwa winning Dallas, signs with EG, and then falls off the face of the Earth. Literally, I haven't heard any notable achievement he has accomplished since joining EG. Liquid is at least more consistent. Zenio was already a Code A Zerg player that turned hot AFTER joining Liquid. But he did just that: got hot, and was on a nice streak, before crashing back down. Thorzain and Huk were easily two of the top foreigners before joining EG. Now they're pretty much nothing.
