Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything. |

So? They're low-calibre NA players, did you expect them to win a GSL? Hell, by your logic, the rest of the NA teams are cursed too because a bunch of their players just left the scene as well. Most of the remaining NA players aren't good.

ROOT, if you consider that a team, got nothing. Mouz isn't doing very much either. Empire has their moments, but they're not winning anything either.
It's not like EG is the only team not doing spectacular. And even then, they actually are doing well. They're not winning, but they're certainly not doing the worst.
This isn't to say anything about Liquid or anything, I love most of their players in terms of personality, but they're certainly not very good (asides from the 2 I named. I don't consider Zenio to be very talented either). THIS guy, knows how to put things in perspective. This should just be at the front page of the thread so the same people, won't say the same thing over and over again.
I can one up you. Koreans own white boys.
Over-simplification? Of course but that's what it boils down to. Not like this is anything new.
When you have a ridiculous supply of resources you have to look at all aspects of practice schedule, mindset, coaches etc.
From what I've seen of every team there are certainly a lot of improvements to be had in all aspects of how they prepare.
Guess what's going to come next from Koreans own white boys?
You guessed it. KeSPA domination.
To the give right above my post. What would you call guys like Lz, Machine, Incontrol?
You think times have changed all that much from their BW days? Not so much.

They are good at advertising sponsors and can throw a lot of money at their players because of that, but advertising is not an esports skill. What we need is team that are able to put a lot of pressure on the players to make them practice as hard as they can. With kespa players switching the korean scene will be even stronger than before, and if foreigners want to have a chance in major tournaments they have no other choice but to practice as hard as koreans. EG players have a lot of money and a strong fanbase no matter how they perform in tournaments, of course they don't improve. I think it's sad that our biggest "foreign hope" joins such team. I didn't even have to read your whole post because you answered yourself in the next sentence.
What the fuck is wrong with people these days. EG pumps so much life into the scene and all it seems people want to do is shit on them. Thank god the posters in here are just a vocal minority.

LOL. EG is the team with Idra and Incontrol... Stuff will happen but everyone at EG likes Stephano and Stephano likes EG, end of story.

My logic? He asked "who left the scene after joining EG?" and I answered with the players who have left the scene since joining EG. I fail to see a flaw in my logic, as I never once called them fantastic players or said anything about their skill at all.

When you play a Game of Drones you win or you join EG die.

People hate on EG because they have soo much money and they are not succesful with it. The problem though is EG may does not have that much success in SC but in other games they are really good, so most of the haters should just accept that they are extremly good with getting sponsores and they are doing a lot to make e-sports bigger flying their athletes around the world.

Good to hear, I like Stephano and EG does good work for their players. Now let the EG hate train continue. After all, it wouldn't be the NA scene if we didn't hate on one of our more successful teams. It is what we do. Cheering is for lesser fans.

People are afraid EG will put a muzzle on Stephano? Stephano (aside from the Jew tweet) has never said anything nearly as inflammatory as IdrA does on his stream.

Interesting, I've a quite a different prediction : He will join EG. He will look at his salary. He will think for 2 seconds "Hey, so now I don't even have to bother practicing this game anymore". He will begin to suck at SC2. He will leech EG's money as long as possible then leave the scene.
EG Curse is bullshit, but lazyness while leeching highest salary in e-sport seems definitely possible.

Yeah, but that's thing. Everyone tries to point them out as "evidence" of EG sucking. Really, it's just NA players sucking. I doubt those playes would do any better on any other team. If teams like Quantic or compLexity got more attention, people would be talking about their curses and how their players just leave the scene or stay in the scene but get stuck in the bottom.

I think we all knew this would happen sooner or later.

I think people are referring to his tendency to party hard and do his interviews drunk. In EG's mind: He can talk as much shit as possible as long as he doesn't get arrested for it.
