Stephano leaving Millenium, [possibly] to EG - Page 37

Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything.

I remember reading somewhere that Incontrol makes Thousands coaching and usually has a packed schedule. Good move for EG, and Stephano. Hopefully he will have continued success so its good for the scene also.

Tell me how many results those players got before they joined, how many directly afterwards and how many after they have stayed with EG for more than 6 month. Perhaps I'm wrong, still it feels like they all declined massivly. It's okay, just keep watching their performance. Keep following all of the EG players. The plan is working, whether they succeed or not your eyes are directly on their sponsors. BTW, I hope EG does land Stephano. They both deserve the best.

Sending more players to the MLG than anybody else, still not getting results. Well, we don't need to continue this discussion. I would be just sad if Stephano joins them. I think most of EG's SC2 brand relies on Incontrol and Idra, who are both quite strong personality. They aren't at the very top right now from a result point of view, but Idra's stream has many thousand viewers whenever he streams and the various talk shows they do are very appreciated. From a sponsor point of view, that's very interesting.

Now with Stephano joining the failure-producing EG machine too...ugh. Goodbye foreign hope. Had such high hopes for him for Code S too ![]()

Perhaps I'm wrong, still it feels like they all declined massivly. Only if you are only looking at a list of achievements without taking any context into consideration. Some where overhyped, some just didn't improve, some had other obvious reasons for the decline that have no connection to them being on EG, some haven't had much chance to prove themselves and some have been reasonable successful. There's only a massive decline in your head and much of it have little to do with the fact that they are signed with EG. It has become a self fulfilling profecy at this point. People take any failure from an EG player and and attribute it to them being on EG. You can also do a test and compare it to other big foreign (and several korean) teams and look how players have evolved before and after signing with a team. There's not much difference from EG's players other than EG being a more high-profile team, making them an easy target for these sort of weird discussions. The only way there's a massive decline is if you count performance for the dollar which might be true but very strange view of things since we live in the real world where onces performance is not proportional to the amount of money you earn.

That's funny because EG gives it's players a ton of resources to improve as players and takes them all over the world. The only possible thing that could be a negative playing wise of being on EG is having to do sponsor type work which might give you less practice time. But considering Stephano isnt the type to do 12 hour days I'd guess it wouldnt hurt him.

He doesn't seem interested in his team, neither in his teammates (as we saw during the Mille period: never practicing with his teammates, never getting that implicated in the team leagues, ...). He only needs a sponsor, and joining SK would be much more sensible (well, SK is not only a sponsor but acts like one) for him i guess. As for MC. My 2 cents.
