Care to elaborate? That post isn't really helpful to anyone.
Maybe on the quality of the game? The P player let the T mass up a nice mech army, built entirely the wrong army comp to deal with it, and then let the T slowly kill him

HoTS will probably make me give up on the franchise as a whole. Instead of fixing the problems with WoL - Horrible unit pathing, boring units (collossus, marauders, roaches), warp gates - they are making everything even worse by adding even more a-move units (Warhounds, Battle hellions, Tempest). The only race that seems to be getting some cool stuff is Zerg.
Tempest, Warhound, Battlehellion; are all silly looking, boring units. The ones that are interesting all look overpowered and will be nerfed to the ground making it so we only make those stale units, which are easy to balance, since they have no abilities..
Really dissapointed by HotS. The worst ability yet is burrow charge though. It looks silly, it is insanely OP, no matter how you balance it, ultra might be nerfed to the ground and the only reason you make them is for the burrow charge suicide. It looks like DotA and if we're lucky they will remove the ability before the game release and use it for the starcraft dota game instead, as it seems like they made it for the mod, but just figured; THAT WOULD BE COOL.. With Viper/Infestor/Spawner unit/Broodlord, Zerg will be the cost efficient race, which focuses on the army instead of economy and we will see a huge shift in metagame as Protoss and Terran become the macro races.
not convinced at all. the warhound and hellion morph are as bland as expected.
the mothership core is broken by design. the tempest basicly a super range guardian with an aa attack? dunno what a unit like that has to do on P but whatevs.
mines well... i want my vultures so i guess im too biased about that anyways.

Besides it's awful look it only fits the role of an anti mechanical unit, so it is very unlikely to use it against zerg (do the rockets even launch against them?). It's a very bad design to have units completely useless in specific matchups.
I give you the carrier in PvT and the Battlecruiser in anything but TvT.
Admittedly the warhound won't be as useful against zerg, but it looks to add a little bit of a meatshield to the tanks which is still the main bulk of the mech army damage. I think the other main thing is this is still in alpha and look how different the alpha for vanilla SC2 looked compared to how the meta game is now. There's no way in hell a protoss wouldn't add collosus and storm against a bunched up mech army like that. No game is ever going to look like that outside of say silver+
Yes, we rarly see Carriers and Battlecruisers used. Their problem is that they are just not good enough to use, but at least they can use their abilities in any matchup. The warhound just cannot - thats my point. I also think the Battlehellion is the meatshield to go in tvz - Warhound would't be cost efficient at all.
I guess, but since it's only the Alpha they can easily change the design/usage of the warhound and they probably will. Games always look like this in alpha and it's usually this reason why games are never shown in Alpha.

Or you could go play Brood War.
i already do, anyway you can't deny that this game need more deep, instead of just direct combat situation, high cliff advantage is a must imho, for a deeper gameplay.

Every time new material about HotS is released, I am reinforced in my opinion not to buy it, and this one continues the trend. Well, at least the Terran did build Tanks, so that's nice - clearly, it wasn't Dustin Browder.
not sure why people are giving HoTS so much hate, you can bearly guage the quality of the game from these pretty poor battle reports... who builds a robo to then only build one obs when the terran is constantally dropping widdow mines?
Wow, we are facing a serious lack of creativity in the unit design department regarding protoss and terran. The warhound keeps me speechless... a marauder that comes from the factory is the most stupid idea ever since the community doesn't seem to really like the marauder anyway...

Thats what you get when you take out 'passion' from equation and put 'money' instead.

I have to agree, it's just marauder 2.0 and they look STRAIGHT out of Supreme Commander (this is *NOT* a good thing!)

This is such a goddamned good idea. Make it so that the little shields are 10% stronger and last 10% longer - however you need to also click per patch of minerals. High skill players are rewarded, while low skilled players aren't completely punished as it lasts a bit longer at least. (Note: I play Protoss and I suck - but I watch a LOT of pro games and I love seeing skill being used at the high levels)

-I'm sorry, but the warhound is terribly ugly and poorly animated.

3x agreed. I like that the tempest is something new and different but I'm not sure they are taking it in a clever direction. I get the feeling that Dustin Browder is still doing what he said about SC2 originally "we just come up with cool units and then tweak the figures to balance them" there doesn't feel like an overall big design plan. (That is kind of a quote, not precise, I'm sure people on this website would know the exact, scary quote)
I want to make it clear I was NEVER a Brood War guy and yet following SC2 for 2 years, reading this site and watching the Battle Reports for HoTS, I've got to say you form an appreciation for BW's simplicity yet wildly varied playstyles. I will say, to be honest I think WoL is damn close to well balanced at the moment though, it's going to be a shame to fuck that up for HoTS. (God some of those fucking units look like shit someones kid thought up, especially the Terran stuff - and I don't say that to be a cynical internet hater - they really do just seem, for lack of a better word 'dumb')

Sigh, I know - I'm about 3 days behind on GSL at the moment - but the most recent match I saw, Squirtle did some goddamn slick play with a warp prism and some immortals, just stuff you watch with awe and respect. I'm not feeling that from HoTS. I hope I'm wrong but it just doesn't look right :/
