How about a petition: "Fire all graphic designers in Blizzard along with their boss"? :D
|
They made the game almost unplayable. I've played 90% less than I would've if it was unchanged. I play one game at a time instead of the usual 10-20. Maybe I will quit. The profile page looks like a downgrade to 0.1. Two launchers WTF. Login takes forever, compared to before. You feel like your sight has been impared when you're ingame. Weird lag that wasn't there before. UItra gfx settings now looks like low did in the old version.
The very least they could do is leave an option to use old school look and feel. Both ingame and menus.
IF IT AIN'T BROKEN DON'T BREAK^H^H^H^H^H FIX IT FOR FUKCS SAKE............................
Only good thing they did was defrag the installation directory. Which you may want people to be able to do when it suits them not just shove in their face when they logon to play.
I can only hope they've fixed it when I come back from my vacation.

Ist it possible Blizzard wants to destroy WoL to make ppl buy HotS?
lol, this is the only thing that would make sense to me. otherwise this patch is such a complete failure in all changes i've seen so far. its actually beyond sad tbh...
especially these things:
1. the new profile informations (& menu) are both completely useless and actually reduce my ambition to play this game
2. why are the team leagues all together now?? this is such a punch in the face for all team game players. especially 2v2 is such a big difference to 3v3 and 4v4. omg i cant believe this!
3. i've played five 1v1 games in season 1 (!) and then never again! so why the hell are there 1v1 stats for me???
4. the "spotlight effect" ingame with the fog of war. it makes NO SENSE. think about u would have this shit in real life. i mean, wtf..?
5. for e.g. micro tournament has to wait up until there are 14 (!) players in the lobby and u CANT start it before. wtf is this? + u dont even know how many players are left to fill the lobby!!??!! again, wtf is this?

patch is fantastic. i love the new look, havent had any lag, and the graphics ingame look even better than before. you all are making an issue out of nothing. it's all personal preference. also, you can now hit f2, then click find match. its not 3 or 4 or 5 clicks like some retards have been saying.

I finally have the time to play starcraft 2 whole day but i had major problems with the patch..... had to re instal the game, had major problems with the patching, no help from blizzard and now im manualy patching it myself. worst patch ever becuase i havent played for almost week now and im pissed. if ladder doesnt go smoothly i would consider quiting sc.
|
I'm really disappointed with this patch. First it took half a day to update the game; >800mb update wtf ?!? I don't want to think about people who buy sc2 and then have to update the game for like a whole day (with a decent internet connection, not even thinking about people who have no or bad connection). I think its such a punch in the face for every customer. I have one day free time and i am not able to play the game i payed money for. At the end of the day i am having heavy lags and performance issues, the game freezes for like 15-20sec at every start of a new game; every opponent goes crazy. I have tried everything out mentioned in the forums, but nothing helped really. It is so sad that the customer has to fix out the issues, i could spend my time much better.
|
yeah the patch has been very time consuming and frustrating still manualy patching......
|
This is getting so annoying, and I am almost sure blizzard will never fix it: when I rewind a replay, it takes 8 seconds to load (like going back in time). So sad
|
well i hadnt any issues with the patch but concerning the known problems that were described here, i think blizzard did a pretty bad job
|
After the patch my fps went from steady 60 to 10-12 during fights. The game is completely unplayable for me at the moment. Not to mention it takes me forever to even open up the client as it's "Initializing data" for like 5 minutes after I log in.
This patch has confirmed to that I won't be buying HOTS. Can't be bothered with these Blizzard shenigans anymore.

I hate how blizzard sees not mentioning a patch release as a good thing. If the game would be patch let me at least know so i can play more (or less befroe the patch). and ow yeah been patching for over 7 hours now........manualy

They announced maintenance to patch the game on the login page of your starcraft 2 client days before patching.

IF they even knew themselves when they were going to apply the patches, a few days beforehand is actually pretty optimal.
I also can't seem to understand why everyone is so mad at blizzard. It's not like they wanted to have all these issues, and I am sure they're working as hard as they can (it's their job after all). Why does everyone think making a game is as easy as thinking: "THIS is how I want it," and having it like that a few minutes later.
Also I heard in some interview in the last month that the patch was absolutely necesairy for the HotS release, so "Don't fix what aint broken" is absolute nonsense imho

I think the arcade addition was really good. Makes it super easy to find custom games to play.
The menu makes a bit more sense..but i still think they can make the GUI more common sense to find things. It just feel a bit odd where things are located. But this is the same pre 1.50 patch.
I start getting to using F2 as my short cut key to play ladder.
Login takes some time to load, especially the Initializing Data screen.
The Fog of War changes is fine. Just need to get adjusted to.

Well it doesnt need to be perfect but speaking from my experience with the patch its been terrible. Tried to patch it early when it was released got a malfunction. fucked up my original starcraft, so had to reinstal the game and from there its been non stop patching problems. patching was very slow and after a patch starcraft optimizer opened up and fixed the game. Its been 3 days since the patch and i havent played the game at all, all i was doing was patching and trying to fix my starcraft. how hard is it to provide a good patching system or atleast more suport and help with problems with it. i downloaded the patches manualy and its still patching 8 hours + so dont tell me not to be mad at blizzard Duval

I have noticed that while watching replays it doesn't run as well as it use to. I use to be able to watch 8x with no problem now it's worse. Not to mention it takes much longer to old replays. I wish they would let you browse replays by using the up / down arrows and expand the names of replays so I can read the whole line. This UI is so cramped still. I don't need the buttons to be twice as big as the text inside them.
|
I have and idea that could improve the profile page.
I'll explain it with a screenshot (Imagine you are the top 8)
|
The only thing good about this patch is the "Arcade" area, it's clean and simple, great for browsing games etc.
The new interface is too cartoony, arcady, and just plain childish. The old interface was fine and didn't need re-tunning, just the customs needed a re-vamp along with the public chat system. I miss having all my achievements at the bottom of the page along with my career stats and leagues showing my ranking. Now it's all hidden and hard to get to, I just don't understand what the blizz crew is doing =( a truly sad patch that's basically kicking me away from logging on *tear*.
