Except this isn't true at all. Look at the most successful Terrans right now: Taeja, Byun, Ryung. All play macro-based styles.
It makes sense though, like when I see MMA play, sometimes he seems very disillusioned or stressed. I really hope he doesn't quit sc2 because he was the guy who pulled me in. MMA FAN FOR LIFE!

MMA fan for life!
honestly guys... i watched 90% of his stream today and this seems blown away out of porportion
crank didnt reveal anything... i ffeel like this is a lot of mistranslation
yeah I saw that and since nobody seemed to be talking about it on TL, i decided to make the thread
No I think he linked it because of the first few comments that basically clear up that Crank actually was talking about himself not MMA.
No he talked specifically about either MMA or himself on separate occasions. He himself had not practiced for 10 days, according to him, but he was clearly referring to MMA when he said the "no want to play sc2" thing

MMA was slumping, his poor results had nothing to do with his play style. What you call a 'Macro-based' style has never gone out of fashion.

You can't rely on the skills of someone who doesn't train as expected, particularly if he's your ace, since the captains/star players of any given team must always be on top of everything because they influence the rest of the team a lot.
Good decision, IMO, but when you do this you need to complement it with some sort of effort to get your player back on track, otherwise he'll just get progressively less motivated.
Slayers has to consider the value of MMA as an asset though. I dont know the conditions of their contract but im certain there are other teams that would offer him equal or greater compensation for less effort than slayers requires.
On the bright side, no physical altercation or brawling. But on the sad side, MMA losing his passion for the game is bad
If there were ever time to organize a group letter to MMA to show appreciation for him as a great player in SC2, I think it would be now >.< would be a shame to lose such a great player.
Sad mma losing his passion like mvp. Makes sense he wants to join a foreign team since they don't have strict practice schedules and can practice whenever you want.
Do B teamers and A teamers have the same practice regimen? That would be an interesting bit of info, because it could be possible that MMA was demoted to give him an easier practice schedule, but was against being demoted in principle (star player getting demoted? Even if all it means is more lax schedule).

IMO, the reddit thread and this thread are yet again NOT solid evidence T-T...
My friend who watched the stream said that he explicitly said "mma no want to play sc2". I'll try to find it in the VOD but I am 99% sure that this is the right explanation. Besides, does any other scenario make more sense to you?

Still not official info though.
i believe slayers b-teamers don't live in the house?
