Sounds interesting but the link is broken. :`(
Should be fixed i hope..for some reason it cuts off the end of the link so I guess just copy paste?
I really want to see this, because I use mech all the time vs. zerg and I really want to compare styles/see what you do vs. toss... But yeah, it's not working...
doesnt work for me either
Yeah link should be fixed now
High master on KR? Nice, I knew there must be other high level players who mech in TvP
thanks a bunch for the replays, i hope to learn a lot
Kick ass, thanks for the replays, I'm excited to see you play :D!

I've been asked by a few people to release a replay pack of my games - I play mech EVERY matchup and I've been asked to showcase some of my games. The following replay pack contains games on both NA and SEA servers, including mech games vs terran/zerg/toss, as well as a few bio games just to mix it up a bit. https://rapidshare.com/files/4194765918/RuineDMech.rarThere is the link, hope you enjoy!
it doesnt work >.< anyone else cant dl it?

works for me, took about 30 seconds for dl to star though

This guy is a god. hopefully the link will be working he really does have some interesting tvp mech.
Enjoy it guys

Cant watch it either =/ Really wouldve loved to see !

Saw the first game on daybreak, I like his style, it's the hellion tank kind of mech, but a couple interesting things (at least in this replay).
He starts with 2 reactor barracks after his natural expansion for marines for a safer early game, while getting siege tanks for 2 base pushes including blink stalker all-in or such.
He uses those 2 rax for double ghost production. Most of the game he maintains about 20 ghosts. That's quite a lot. But this way he can ensure he EMP's his opponent's entire army no matter what. He doesn't have as many hellions for tanking; instead he opts for the more food efficient ghosts and lets his tanks kill a lot before the protoss can engage.
Because of having less hellions, there is less incentive to have mech armor upgrade for them since he relies more on EMP+Siege Tank damage, so he only has +3/+1 at the end, with +1 ship attack and either he starts researching double ship or only attack (I forget)
Not sure if I prefer this or not, may have to try it out :D
Im not sure why the link is working for some but not for others. It's a little weird :/
thanks for the rep <3
ps: I re-upload it with mediafire for who can't download it from rapidshare + Show Spoiler +http://www.mediafire.com/?q1875nq1lk98rru

Still wont work for me T.T so sad =(

God that style looks fun to play
Thanks RuineD, going to be a lot of fun to have a look through, especially from a fellow Melbournian! Will definitely do some casts when I have time!
lol, fuck you ruined for beating me with mech!
What is your strongest mech match up and why?
Mech for all 3 Tv* match ups? I can't wait to dive into these replays!
I just started meching in TvZ and it's so funny rolling over T2 Zerg units lol
Thx you man ! I try to play mech in TvP but i often lose. I hope i will find some solution in this replays pack, especially against archons/chargelot
i get an error "the launch of this game makes reference to map or mod dependencies which are no longer available." when i try to launch the replays. It seems like it only happens with the WCS maps
edit: i restarted sc2 and now it works fine, thanks for the reps
*------------Thanks for the upload----------------*
I was just thinking about mech! Thank you!
After watching ALL of the replays (well except the WCS ones) my general criticism is that you make way too many SCV's. In the majority of the replays you stay at >65 SCV's the whole game.
Oh and to the people who've downloaded the replay pack, the 1h15m game is not very epic.
yeah watching through my replays i realise that I don't sac enough scvs often. It's hard to gauge how many scv's i actually have though when they are spread across 5-6 bases.
My best mech matchup is probably TvZ because i'm much more experienced with it and am generally much more confident with it.
Haven't seen the game yet, but THX !! I will definitively appreciate it.
Thanks for the replay's! Very excited to get home from work to watch them

This 100% I like watching/understanding different styles even though I can't normally pull them off.
everyone plz ignore how i played on daybreak... i was very confused, surprised, and unsure what to do im normally better i promise <3
on another note, RuineD is also very good T_T
Looks great! Thanks for the pack. Can't wait to try it out!
No replays from KR server? I really want to see mech playstyles work there, especially vs protoss.
i get lag on KR so i don't play on it anymore
Could you possibly upload it as a .zip file? I have started to go mech every matchup and REALLY want to check it out :DD
the key to all of his builds is kill an scv building a depot at 43 supply and you win

Archon Chargelot is EZ, he has nothing he can do if you run up with a lot of hellions and keep roasting his chargelots until he's left with just archons. Even if he has 1 or 2 colossi or some high templar, you can still trade hellions for zealots (his main army). He needs colossi/storm/immortals to prevent hellions from just kiting Archon/Chargelot to death.

o.o really? What do you mean ;O
(his own scv or opponents scv? and how many times did this happen lol)

As powerful as Mech is, I'm more interested in learning how to beat it, considering I play zerg and don't win when the T goes Mech. I know this is counter to what you're trying to do here, but is there any tips/strategies/something that you can provide that will help me beat mech consistently?
Holy shit.. MarineKing should change his name to MechKing after copying these builds. Then you can sue him for copying the name and build of yours.

Playing Starcraft II is like playing Starcraft I. Throughout the years Starcraft II has been out, Blizzard has been trying their hardest to make Starcraft II as skillful as Starcraft I. If any game should be as good as the previous one, it has to be Starcraft II. That is why Diablo III is so garbage. Now, in order to counter mech in Starcraft II, you gotta play like it's Starcraft I. The zerglings are counted as mines, and what Protoss does is they have a shuttle to drop zealots on top of the mines to friendly-fire their own units. Starcraft II has become at an even greater skill level though because you aren't dropping unit's on top of their own, you simply unborrow. It's that easy, for the price of $20 you can do this for $9.99. Almost as easy as controlling 200supply army on 1 hotkey.

If you're up against a turtling mech player, drop play/fast hive is always a good decision. If it gets to the late game, constant tech switches (eg. go from ultra to broodlord infestor to roach infestor) means that the terran will always have a hard time keeping up. As long as you can trade fairly evenly the zerg can get in a good position to tech switch often.

You should test all times of day.. For me, I lag between 10 PM and 3 AM on my time (which is usually when I get off work and play)
Maybe it's the same for you (just a different time?)
note: Besides 10-3, it's pretty lag free for me.

haha it was just one day he kept killing the scv as a joke when we were on skype, and then it happened the next game, and then the next.

This is actually sick as shit!

Put up a cast from RuineD at the recent ACLPro event down in Melbourne - really interesting play to watch - I'll have a few more up soon.

This guy has crushed me twice meching (I'm z). He plays beautiful mech, so hard to break. It's how it should be played, you all can learn A LOT from this guy.
One of the sickest replay pack for sure. Probably one of the most talented replay pack out there! I'll be sure to check those out, it'll mech me very happy.

relevant to my interests tnx for upload

So I'm going thru the replay pack. I like the diversity in the pack ie. all races, and both wins and losses. Ruined, can I ask some questions?

In asking whether you could ask a question, you asked a question.
Anyways, I don't see what it would hurt for you to just go ahead and pop your questions down.
Hey, are there replays of surviving various early game pressures/all-ins vs toss?
There are some in there, but i was having trouble finding many when I was going through the replay pack. Most of the games end up being macro games so there are very few games where I get cheesed/allinned
e. and yes just pop questions in this thread ^^ or send me a pm on TL/stream/email

Thanks ruined. Looking forward to watching them :D

what are your thoughts on blizzard shutting down the SEA server and SEA's access to the NA server?

Is this true? I have never heard about it...

Really enjoyed these replays. Great builds to add in to my repertoire. Already having some success with them on ladder
Does anyone know a thread for some Terrain expand builds? e.g. barracks tech lab, or something? (im new to terrain)
Thanks for this, I love mech and I'd love to be able to use it in all my matchups if it works. Especially since HoTS seems very mech based.
Thanks for the replays, I've been fiddling with idea about meching in all matchups. Looks like it's possible.

It's certainly possible; though TvP can be tough I've been playing a bit of it on my second account and while I'll admit I'm still a huge scrub (and I've had some assistance from RuineD) it can be really hard to do; miss a key EMP(s) or incorrectly position your units... P can just rip through it easily. Luckily TvZ seems quite easy to do when you mech, haha.
I'll have a few more casts up with RuineD soon, and we'll probably feature some replays tomorrow on Late night IMBA discussions.

mech everygame? ugh ;8 gotta see some of the replays just for the fun of it.
