Basically, its GO IN and plant entomb and GO OUT. How is that even called harassing? You dun need much micro or skill to do it. They should make it require at least some micro like the banshee or mutalisk harass. 22 range tempest won't make it into the game.That is definitely OP. Could see viper abduct range being nerfed. Binding cloud is fine if it only works on bio. So ultralisk burrow charge do damage upon unburrowing?Sick. | ||

Mothership seems really... it just seems a bit awkward. It doesn't really fit in. Can it only stay on your nexus? I'll have to see more games but I can see a lot of changes to it as HotS develops. The entombed spell is OP as hell. They should have kept it to the original and only have it entomb one mineral patch at the time at a reduced energy cost. Even if you react right away to this it's still a guaranteed 30-1m loss of mining time, and if you have three behind a base each and even semi-consistently do it then it will be really hard for zerg. Not sure about cloaking field, but could be interesting to do a small attack on an expansion with cloak then run. Swarm host seems pretty useless in later stages. Locust die so quickly and there seems to be so few of them. It seems like they are consciously trying not to make it the same as the lurker, even though it would probably work much better. Perhaps either buff the movement speed of the locust or make it an upgrade, or let the swarm host produce more locust at a time, or produce them quicker, or give the locust more health, whatever! At the moment, as shown in the video, even if you have near 10 swarm host they are not as effective as I think they probably should be. Tempest seems really strange, 22 range? Unnecessary imo. I'm not sure about their use even from the video. The widow mine or whatever it is seems promising. As Browder says there's like a one in a million chance of a pro-player actually being affected by the splash, but it seems like a nice map control unit, same role as spider mine. Potential to get it into mineral lines could cause a lot of disruption. Warhound, seems like another 1a unit. Pretty uninteresting from what was shown, I think TvT might just turn bio vs bio now, which will suck. Why does Blizzard always want to discourage mech play? tt The blue flame hellion that turns into a mech guy... doesn't show how fast it is so I'm not sure how compatible it will be with bio, but looks essential for late game TvP and you could probably make some nice timings out of it. They don't seem to kill zealots substantially quicker than normal bio, though. Zerg late game is gonna be OP as hell!!!!!! How do you fight against infestor/broodlord/viper/swarm host/ultra? They probably couldn't get the gas for it but seems like it will be even harder to deal with. I think there are too many units at the moment. | ||

Especially if you're managing more than one throughout the entire game. Great players will be able to use them while doing everything else and bad players won't be able to use them well. | ||

Terran looks decent, certainly mech will be a viable tactic vs toss. OMG the return of spider mines... that also hit air. FML. Those things gave me nightmares in BW. I wonder what they do to mineral lines. I'm sure all the Zergs are super excited, but really they shouldn't be. They got a bunch of op shit. I remember when protoss had a bunch of op shit in WOL beta. As a result the race got beat to a bloody pulp with the nerf bat. Most of it's base units, warp gates, forges, all got nerfed into the ground. Then they went back and nerfed warp gates again, and pylons. Now look where toss is, 2 base all in or turtle and hope you get your 3rd up before endless aggression hits you. I guess the new mothership will help you turtle even more. I really dislike the swarm host. The last thing zerg needs is more infinite free units. Late game is such a bitch vs Broodlord, infestor. This is going to be silly. But it is somewhat exciting. All the match-ups are going to completely reset, hopefully. | ||
