You have to provide some kind of evidence/proof (screenshots/replays etc.) if you are going to accuse somebody.
Additionally, a supporting comment of what people should be looking for and when will be necessary if you are posting replays/evidence. |
hacker: BIOTHERM server: NA Masters
I don't even need to watch the replay myself to know he hacks (was using oracles to constantly revelation his army; and i can see his army move to defend oracles completely blind). He lost anyways cause he is trash. http://drop.sc/335464

Hacker name: Amandapanda Server: NA League: Master Description: - Couple things to note, he opens a completely strange build that happens to counter my build hard. - 3:06 Builds a blind spine crawler in the opening before even knowing how many lings are heading his way. - Saves larva randomly as well (I know this can be just in his build but, its all the little things that add up that he does). - 10:40 Macros up blindly, then builds banes and lings out of nowhere right after I produce mass lings - 13:40 Clicks on my lings with muta - 15:01 Clicks on my lings with muta - 15:18 Clicks on my lings with muta - 17:14 Sends units blind in positions to defend my attack (Also sends his mutas back blind from cross map randomly to defend) - 21:00 Clicks on my 3rd

I came to this thread just because he seemed like a hacker, even without watching replay, to see if he's already reported. Yes, many reports eventhough he's not even GM and only 141 games played. Some really don't even try to hide it.

Hacker name: A Barcode Server: EU League: Master Description: In replay in whirlwind he looks at my base half the game while he goes direct cross to me and 2 gates. In the replay on akilon he goes around and kills every single overlord outright, and look at the overseer thats trying to get into his main. Other than that he have seen 2 evo chambers the whole game and decides to go hardcore ultralisk counter. And when im outside his base he dont wont to got out even tho he dosnt see me. Trying to bait me out etc( while not wanting to save his 4th because for some reason he knows my exact position.

Just more confirmation on fraser
Hacker name: Fraser Server: NA League: Master Description: mostly hidden during early portion, but towards the late game situations becomes VERY obvious based on his unit positioning and stuff
He then calls out my exact supply, only possible with 3rd party programs
http://drop.sc/335660
on a side note catz played a game vs him last night where he showed very blatant evidence of hacking

Pfft it's not too hard to upload a rep! As long as you know where the folder is, it takes like 10 seconds... and I'm guessing you'd know this.

Name: IMEstrella Server: NA League: GM/Master
http://drop.sc/335695
Description: He never scouts the whole game, when i put a pylon to block his naturale he goes directly to the third, withouth having vision of it, he makes just the right counters to everything i have (without scouting also) and at the final engagement he takes 2-3 looks at my army in the FOW and attacks just at the right time. Also, he BM-ed the whole game and his first chat line was "gg u lost already".
Also an important thing to note is that i had this guy in my division in diamond, before being promoted to gm on NA as well, and i saw he had an amazing record of 140 wins and 9 losses or smt like that. Maybe he feared it was a little too obvious and he left the league to get a clean score once again, i don't know...
http://drop.sc/335697
The second game against him he also NEVER scouts at all, and considering this was a zvz, he never has 1 overlord on the map and ofcourse, makes the ideal combination and attacks before my 1-1 upgrade for lings is done...
edit: oh, i see he has been reported before, several times, great job Blizzard... a link to the ingame chat as well, it also qualified for another thread http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=175960¤tpage=295#5898

Well, a blatant maphacker who doesn't even try to hide it. He taunted me hard after the game. He wasn't ashamed obviously.

A friend of me gave me this replay for me to check if this guy was an hacker. I checked it and I think that he is, but if someone could confirm it, it could be nice.
Thx

Really wish Incontrol/Nony/JP would of confronted David Kim when he was on SOTG about map hackers to try and get something done or at least provide insight as to why the report function seemingly does nothing (I've spammed blizzard before with the report function cussing them out and stuff and never got a ban nor warning even). The problem just keeps getting worse and it's to the point where facing a map hacker every day isn't in the minority. I'm hoping eventually the community, specifically reddit will eventually stop requiring 100% conclusive proof about hackers and make logical conclusions when it is blatantly obvious regardless of not being completely cut and dry.
What I've done to some avail is just add every maphacker you face and try and que dodge them

Probably because they have to filter through that garbage... good job.

What I've done to some avail is just add every maphacker you face and try and que dodge them David Kim is balance director and probably has nothing to do with getting rid of maphacking.
Also, the amount of maphacking accusations that flies around on ladders is almost certainly less than the actual numbers of hackers there really are. Someone's "blatantly obvious" quite often ends up being just a rage induced loss crying.

I guess that's how he proxy 2 gated inside my base so quick.... then still lost to me I dunno if losing AS a maphacker is more frustrating or not lol

Name: Fishrod Server: NA League: Master Replay: http://drop.sc/335886
I just played this guy twice and in the first game he just seemed to play well defending my hellbat drops but after the second game I got really suspicious because he went for a blind widow mine turret defense against my mine drop into banshee opening when I did something very different in our first game. So I watched both replays and the second game didn't really reveal anything explicit he could just have went for turrets blindly while doing a strange build. But when i went back to the first game i caught him looking in the fog of war for my unspotted hellbat drop at the 13:10 minute mark. He selects his whole army and rallies it across the map in front of this natural but then looks in the fog of war shortly before the drop gets into his vision and moves back his army and presses hold position.

I'd imagine they get so so so many reports from people who are just annoyed at losing, that it takes a while to work through them.

When you report someone for a real life threat, you are warned that abusing this feature will result in action taken against your account. The same should be with reporting cheaters. Yes, you can make an honest mistake and report someone who just was more skilled than you, but if you do it every time you lose because you are bad, then by all means, you should receive a warning, and then a temporary ban. This will discourage false reporting, and players will be more carefull about it, will watch the replay carefully, upload it here for analysis for example etc. Still, the real reports should then be taken into account and acted upon, thing that doesn't happen now...
They can even implement some sort of credibility rating, like reports from users who have raised false alarms in the future will be analysed last, while reports coming from people who have correctly identified maphackers in the past should receive top priority.
These and others are very simple measures that can be taken by Blizzard in order to keep a clean game, i am surprised about how badly they handle this increasing problem...
