I think I had to play between 100 and 150 games, I can't remember, suddenly it worked.
Now I have a new problem. Now my MMR is -9983. I had about -300 for some time, a week or some (rank 40 bronze) until I won some games, came to (now currently) rank 17. It has huge spikes to top 8 bronze which seems to be 80 MMR (and 500 needed to be silver(!)).
How to find the bad games? Do I have to delete the oldest games, so the program can re-calculate? Wouldn't that just put me to "point 0" where I have to play 200 games to find a "good" game so the program can guess the MMR?
Any suggestions to stop having -~10000 MMR?

First: If you are in bronce, in my opinion you should focus on execution of your builds against no enemy or easy ai. First fight yourself before fight others. If you are new to a tennis club they dont say to you "Welcome now go out and play some tournaments". They teach you how to play tennis first. Going direct into competition is not allays the best way to learn. But that's your call and not my.
--- 1: - 10000 MMR is an calculation mistake and an bug in my program!
2: if you have many bad games and wait very long for a good one, you are in the cap zone. Cap zones are the in the low spot of a league. That means the fact that you have many caped games alone indicates you are on the lower edge of your league.
3: go to "Options" Tab "Data" and enable " Mark assumptions" Now you see what is a good game (white) and what was an bad one (gray). With the new analyser there is no need to delete old data to recalculate. Every good game is calculated independent from the rest. Only the finetuner looks at the whole graph and he is only allowed to correct in a very small errormarign ( +-24).
4. If you have a miscalculated game you can mark it bad in "options" "data" Select the datamistake and click on "Mark bad" and than Save.
The follow text is only valid if you have my tool always running. Else missing games can look like a data mistake. That is the reason why i dont auto-correct spikes!
+ Show Spoiler +You see a wrong calculated game when one Good Game spikes out double. E.g. row of bad games - Good game at 300 - Jump to 800 row of bad games - Good game at 800 - Jump to 300 row of bad games - Good game at 300. In this case the 800 good game is obvious a mistake. Data before and after is equal and only this one calculation spikes out. If you mark this one as bad his row of bad games will be auto-corrected! In the log window "analyser" the algorithm give you hints what he thinks is a bad game. He will also mark the one he think are bad in the data-editor. Never mark a game bad only because of a single spike. If you have a single spike you can not tell yet if the old good game or the new good game is the wrong data.
5: With so many bad games and an -1000 calculation mistake in there ( did not see this bug for long time) i think something might be wrong with your settings. Please enable "memory scanner" and post a log of a full ladder game so i can check if there is an big problem.

I re-checked that I have Java 32bit on my system. I run the program with admin rights, I ddin't do this before.
Is it from the "Main Log" you want to see?

All mistakes are follow up mistakes of an error in the Blizzard webserver. If there is no mistake, you are caped. This is the case, when your opponent is under the cap line of your league, what is kind of first 1/3. You only get this type of opponents, so your mmr must be in this area too. You have a broken "good game" that show the invalid -10000. (-9999 is the internal error number if calculation fails) So one of the bad games passed the tests and is incorrect displayed as good game.
Activate "mark assumptions", find this good gamethat is in the - area and "mark it bad" in the dataeditor.
At the moment you are you are still in the -9999 area, so i assume you dont have any other good game that can correct this mistake. It can be that you fall back to the orange guess graph after marking your only good game as bad. But this is fine in your case, because i can not tell your MMR. Blizzard will keep giving you "fake points" so your point dont drop to 0. This make any calculation impossible
It looks like you are close or under the 0 line. As long as you dont play an opponent that is above 80 MMR, there is no way to calculate your MMR.
EDIT: Btw the java 64 bit problem is solved.

It says 2/454, so I have to hunt down the second good game

Hi i have been getting a wierd bug for quite some time now ... 1. Whenever i start SC2Gears i need to active MMRstats in my plugin list. its allways marked with a red X aswell as all other plugins. 2. My Opponents MMR is allways the same as mine, wich cant really be. I had over 400 Games so yeah no way i had the same MMR as my oponents after the initial 50 games or so.
I reinstalled SC2Gears and redownloaded MMRstats (i know my data is lost but was worth a try) still dosnt work =(

1) no idea what this is, ask in the sc2gears thread.
2) if opponent MMR = Your MMR +10 this is the mark for "can not calculate" So i fact i dont know what his mmr is. Im forced to make a dot to dont mess with other parts of the program so i fill in a fake dot at +10 your mmr. I will mark this ones gray in future version to make it more clear
3) your data is in the folder: Sc2gears\User Content\Plugin file cache\mmr.plugin.MMRPlugin Copy that from your old installation and everything should be there again.

You use the latest version? I dont see the version number. Normal the log starts with it. Did you misscopy the data folder?
It will. MMR (how we call it for sc2), is the Number of the Skill function. This number is your skill compare to the normalized playerbase. The playerbase will be different ( people who dont get matched against each other ) You can switch server but you can not play on Europe server and play a Korean on ladder.
you have a different normalisation = different instance of the function = different number.

Version 7.1 out
Version 7.1 Changelog: -New Description for the Graph -Bugfix in the export function -Support Button and function -Changelog visible at Logwindow -All kind of little bugfixes

Before the update my graph looked fine, but now as soon as I updated my graph became this:.
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/kt49Yl.jpg?1)
looks like my mmr is back to normal though, but should I mark a game as "bad" now?
Anyway thanks for the patch =)
edit: looks like indications are in the analyse log =)

You must have made the patch for me <3
After deleting some games (I got spikes to Masters area, and one single to gold), the graph is now working again, and I have positive MMR again.
The fix could be two-fold, as I got MMR to 80. Instead of showing 2/~450, it is now 33/485. (Good games(?))
|
Just installed the new patch, and now there's a 250 point jump up (from 1200-1450) in my MMR in the last 5 games that wasn't there before. Any idea where this change might have came from?
I absolutely love this tool, not to mention sc2 gears itself. If I didn't have these tools, my interest in this game would be way less than it is, but having these raw figures and visual representations of my skill level and opponents is just spectacular. Thank you for all the work that you do!

I patched up with my working version. I did a lot of small changes and i can not remember them all But looks like i patched with a version that is to friendly in the cap rule finder. Will update with a version that should catch all caped games again i hope. In case not i add an optional autocorrect function!
edit; 7.2 out

You're awesome, this is a cool program. Thankyou.

Great tool - thanks for making and maintaining it. Two things which I think would make it better: - If I mark a game as bad in the settings, the graph should update (it only updated for me when I switched to my other profile and back) - Don't disable the Memory Reader checkbox in the settings if I am on a Mac. I have sc2gears in a dropbox folder, so I run the same installed instance from both Mac and Win. I currently have to go and remember to switch it on every time after having played on a Mac as the tool goes and unticks the checkbox in the settings when I use it on the Mac.

GL HF Thanks. 1) you should always click on "Save and exit" when you change something in the settings. This will reset the whole program. 2) Problem is: If i dont allow it, people will activate it and the programwill report a lot of errors. So other mac users are confused and will complain.
can you protect the settings file so mac can not write on it? (changing write access to root only? / in the end a mac is unix) Settings file: Sc2gears\User Content\Plugin file cache\mmr.plugin.MMRPlugin\client.data He will still change it internal but is not able to save the change, on program exit.

Permissions will be hard (I think) on a dropbox shared between Win and Mac, and would prevent me changing other settings as well.
I'm completely fine with not using the Ramscanner (as it is not possible on the Mac). My issue is that it changes the actual setting, so it goes "Setting says use RamScanner --> We're on a Mac --> Change setting". I would expect the tool to go "Setting says use RamScanner ---> We're on a Mac ---> Ignore the setting for this session, leave the setting itself unchanged".

Its not like that he wants to change this change. Ramscanner is disabled when he detect macs and the data is saved later from an total diffrent modul. I could build in a second var for a temp block. But that needs time.
And at the moment i have to look into the wrong cap detect problem.
