Updated for Season 9

New installation note for Google Chrome version 21+ users

How to install:
Starting Chrome version 21, Google have changed it so that extentions may only be installed from Google Web Store. When I went to add the extention to their web store it turns out it costs $5 one time fee in order to publish extentions. Not that the money bothers me, but I find this change to be ... in bad taste from Google side, so I won't. I'm quite surprised by this, I did not know Google to use such tactics before.

Chrome users need to add the following flag to Chrome shortcut on their desktop:

--enable-easy-off-store-extension-install

To add the flag, right click on the shortcut icon and pick properties, then add the flag at the end of the target. It should look like this:

<the folder where chrome is installed>\chrome.exe --enable-easy-off-store-extension-install

I realize that this requirement probably means a lot less Chrome users will be using the script, but I have no intentions of encouraging this behavior from Google by sending them money.

Firefox users need to install greasemonkey addon before installing the script.

Chrome and Firefox users then grab the script from here.

After installing the script you may need to restart your browser prior to using it.

Currently I have tested the script on Chrome and Firefox. If you use another browser and wish to see support added post a comment and I'll see what I can do.

I've been working on a browser script that incorporates some additional functionality to Battle.net's website. The main function of the script is to keep track of players adjusted points (the points you would have if there was no bonus pool given) of entire SC2Ranks custom divisions.

The script is based off of a previous script called Enhanced Battle Net Profiles which was created by Aznplucky (Kagamin on TL). I can not thank him enough for his original work, without which my script wouldn't have been possible.

What the script currently supports:

Viewing entire SC2Ranks custom divisions
Many local communities keep an SC2Ranks custom division of themselves by clans or regions. In my own country of Israel we have one list for our local players, and skimming the public divisions list of SC2Ranks I spotted a list for France, Sweden, Austria, Belgium among others. Some lists are private, meaning I can not see them on SC2Ranks list, but their members use them nevertheless (The Israeli list is private for example, you can not view it without the link).

Here's what the custom division of Sweden looks like using my script, sorted by adjusted points:

You can see that adjusted points ranking and regular ladder points ranking do not match. Personally I am much more interested in adjusted points ranking, which give a much better indication of ranking by skill level of players.

The script has to query BNet website for each player in order to get his adjusted points. To save time and reduce queries you may also select individual leagues you wish to query using the league icons at the top.

You may add and remove SC2Ranks lists from your script using the add division and remove division buttons.

Currently you can only see members of a particular region when you are browsing on to BNet webpage of that particular region due to cross domain restrictions. For example if you are browsing on us.battle.net you will not be able to see players in EU or KR, and you will have to go to eu.battle.net or kr.battle.net to do so.

Viewing personalized 1v1 divisions
If you wish to look at your own 1v1 division instead of an SC2Ranks custom one you may do so via the button at the left. This may be interesting to you because using the script you can see your 1v1 division sorted by adjusted points, rather than with bonus pool which obfuscates your true rank in your league. If you view the 1v1 division using my script, you will be able to tell how far are you from being #1 ranked in your division. The higher you are in your division in adjusted points, it becomes increasingly likely that you're close to being promoted.

I won't bore you with my own 1v1 division. Instead, here are the Grandmaster leagues sorted by adjusted points of EU, NA and KR.

EU:

NA:

KR:

To get these lists, I simply opened the profile of a GM player from each region, and clicked 'personal 1v1 division'.

Graph display of adjusted points over time
Each time you fetch the data for a custom division, it stores them in your localStorage html5 cache of your browser. You can then view the history you have saved on a graph to see the progression of yourself and the players on your custom lists. After you collect some data points over time, eventually it becomes something like this:

Note that this is a graph of adjusted points. Unlike the graphs of points that you can see elsewhere, this graph will not constantly move upwards as the season progresses. At the beginning of new season it will rise for the first several dozen games, depending on your MMR, and will then more or less plateau. From that point onwards, the movement of the graph is a good indication of how well you are doing on ladder, and how has your performance changed over time, which I believe many players care about.

You can also display the data in a table using the button at the bottom for easy transfer into excel should you wish to keep track of the data or perform any analysis of it.

MMR Calculator
Still not using the MMR Calculator? Grab it from here.

A note of caution:
Depending on how big the custom lists that you are using and how often you refresh, you may end up sending a lot of queries to BNet webpage (the script sends 2 requests per player the very first time you query a specific player, and henceforth sends a single request per player so long as the player remains in the same 1v1 division). I've sent a lot (and I mean a LOT, much more than a user would under typical usage) of requests while developing this script and so far with no ill effects. However it's possible in the future Blizzard decide they don't want players sending this many requests to their website and may take measures to prevent it (probably depending on how popular this script becomes and how big of a load this puts on BNet webpage). I would recommend not to refresh big lists regularly more than every 30-60 minutes or so.

You can not get banned from the game for using this script, since this script operates entirely in your browser and does not access SC2 game files in any way. You can even use this script without SC2 installed on your computer.

FAQ:
How do I get started
After installing the script and restarting your browser, go to your profile page on BNet page of your server (*.battle.net). The 'Personal 1v1 division', 'Points history graph' and 'MMR Calculator' are all self explanatory.
In the 'SC2Ranks Divisions' page you may add a SC2Ranks custom division by clicking 'add division'. Enter it's name and URL which you can find on this list or on your local clan / SC2 community website. Alternatively, you may wish to create your own SC2Ranks custom division and add your friends, clan members and anyone else you wish.
I've included a premade list for every region of some regional 'pros'. The list is merely a demonstration of ability and I do not mean to offend anyone by not including their particular favorite pro player, or including one that they dislike. It was simply a matter of me going on the regional GM list and picking some familiar names to include in my list. Feel free to delete it once you've added a list you intend to use.
To query a list, select the leagues you wish to query from the top of the 'SC2Ranks Divisions' page and press 'fetch data'.

Me or someone else do not appear in the SC2Ranks custom division
This is a problem that happens when a name on SC2Ranks does not match the player name on BNet, either because the player changed his name or entered the wrong capitalization on SC2Ranks. You can check whether or not this is the case by trying to open a player's profile on BNet through SC2Ranks. If it gives you an error, his name isn't entered properly.
You may change a player's name on SC2Ranks by going to his personalized page and clicking 'rename' on the right side of his name. Note that after renaming a player in SC2Ranks it may take up to several hours for the script to see the updated name, due to the name taking time to become available through SC2Ranks API.

I've cleared my browser history and now the lists and graph data is gone
All the data is stored locally in your browser cache. If you clear it unfortunately the data will be gone. Someday I hope to implement a webpage that performs the queries and keeps the data, but I don't know when that will happen.

How do I know this isn't a virus?
You can see the source code by going to the userscripts page and right clicking the 'install' button and selecting 'save as', and review the code yourself.

I am in <league below Master> and according to MMR calculator my MMR is all over the place from one game to the next
There's not much I can do about this. Due to the nature of league modifiers below Master, you will only get consistent, sense-making results when playing opponents in Master or Grandmaster leagues.

What if SC2Ranks is down?
The script will grab the players list from last known list, and query those. You will only be able to add new lists when SC2Ranks is up.

What happens when a new season starts?
The script will find players' new 1v1 divisions. It also has an option to grab regional bonus pools from SC2Ranks API, although currently the calculation is performed locally for the particular starting times of season 7. If I decide SC2Ranks is a more reliable source for calculating server bonus pools I will revert back to using SC2Ranks API for bonus pools calculations.

Excellent. I guess it still needs updating every season so that the bonus pool calculations are correct?

Yes. I already had it set up to receive the bonus pools through SC2Ranks' API, but after at the beginning of season 7 when it took some week or so to update I decided to use local values instead. I'm not sure which is less bad, to require users to update at every new season, or to display a static bonus pool of about 630 points (and consequently very negative adj points values) for a few days - week at the beginning of a season.

Well my MMR is between 80 and 112. What does this tell me now? Is it possible to tell when you will get promoted by these numbers or so? Or is it just a nice way to messure skill if two players are in the same league?

Is there a bug in the script? I notice in the NA+EU rankings there are a bunch of players tied at 74 adjusted points, rather than the expected 73 (due to point reset). The expected outcome for a player that has been promoted and stops playing games is they remain at 73 forever, so 74 is odd here because it means they'd have to earn only one more point. Or, is it just a coincidence? Or, do players gravitate toward 74 as a result of the system? Strange indeed. Or the bonus pool calculation could just be incorrect in the script I suppose.

The script, BNet website and in-game values all may disagree with one another by up to 1 point difference, depending on the minute. This is due to the script not being synchronized down to the minute with the game when does another bonus point become available. If you think it's important let me know and I can get a better match for EU where I can check the in game BP and when it updates. For other servers I'm going to need help from someone with access to those servers. Interesting to note that the BNet one and in-game one don't agree to the minute either.

Edit: Thinking about it, if I'm synchronizing down to the minute, I probably should synchronize with BNet website. The script takes all data from there anyway. Is it something you wish to see Excalibur?

Which browser are you using? The script currently only supports Chrome/Firefox, if you're using some other browser let me know and I'll see what I can do. If you're using Firefox, did you install greasemonkey addon first? Did you restart your browser after installing?

If you and your opponent are both under Master league, it probably doesn't tell you a whole lot. Sadly this is due to league and division tier modifiers being unknown (as well as what tier you and your opponent belong to).

Currently 1v1 only. Sorry.

I think that would be best, just to guarantee accuracy. You wouldn't even have to flood the server (to begin with, anyway), instead you could just log the exact time the bonus pool ticks over, then the exact time the bonus pool ticks over again, and just log that locally from that point forward. If you're synching with the web server though you'll have to account for the reduced bonus pool accrual rate below Master, since Blizzard's server doesn't.

NP I'll get it synchronized and release an update (a message will appear on the left side panel of the script when it's out).
The good thing about Diamond and below BP bug on BNet webpage is that it is makes life even easier for me. Since I grab data from BNet page, players below Master with 0 in game unspent bonus pool will display on the webpage as if they had the BP difference between Master and below as unspent BP. I don't have to do anything special about them. The only place in the script I need to account for the BP difference between GM/Master and below is the MMR calculator, which receives as input in game data manually entered by the user and calculates adjusted points for him.

I released an update for version 1.2.1.
- The script is now synchronized with the addition of a new bonus pool point every 112 minutes down to the minute with BNet webpage for all regions. Your local clock on your computer needs to be synchronized with world clock or you may encounter a discrepancy bigger than a minute.
- Fixed a bug which prevented custom lists and 1v1 lists from appearing properly on sea.battle.net (oops). Script should now support all servers except www.battlenet.com.cn (is there anyone who want to see chinese support added?)

Having trouble getting it working I'm on SEA, I've tried on both chrome and firefox, is there something really basic I'm missing in how to get it working? I've never tried using a script on either browser before. I installed greasemonkey (just ff), installed script, restarted browser, log in to my profile on battle net, but then I don't see any extra buttons/calculator etc.

I'm not in masters league, so just doing it for fun, will you be working on finding out the tier/divison offsets so you can apply your F function thing from the other thread to all leagues?

Do you have javascript disabled by chance? Or some other untypical security setting that's extra rigid? When you installed the script, did it inform you that requires permissions to *.battle.net, www.sc2ranks.com and userscripts.org?

As for the other question, I think if we can make progress on figuring out how MMR behaves we're going to be in a much better position to find out all the various offsets.

As far as I can tell javascript is working, don't have any peculiar security settings, but no it didn't ask me for permission when going to either of those websites. So I guess that means it's not kicking in for some reason.... I've disabled and reenabled the script, greasemonkey, the browser. I don't know!

I'm not sure what's causing your problem. You can try the suggestions on this page. Make sure greasemonkey is enabled in firefox. See if any other script from userscripts will pop up the greasemonkey window when you try to install it. Are you on mac by chance?

No, it works for all leagues. If you are in a 1v1 division, refresh the page and make sure your adjusted points appear in green at the top. When they do press the 'personal 1v1 division' button and see if it works. If it doesn't, please leave a link to your profile here so I can see if I can reproduce the problem.

Not sure if I'm blind and didn't notice it (I thought it would be a popup style thing not actually integrated into the website XD) or if fixed it changing profile stuff around, but it's working now! Thanks a lot!

Trying to do the UK+Ire player list (sc2ranks.com/c/4442/uk-ire/). How long does it take to fetch data normally? I pressed it and waited about 5 minutes - not sure if I'm meant to wait or if something is wrong (214 players, did my division no problem in about 15 seconds)
Edit: works now after adding the / at the end of the division's url which I had missed off.

Yeah I'm using Firefox, installed Greasemonkey and restarted it.

It didn't work so I removed the script, greasemonkey and then reinstalled greasemonkey and then tried to add the script again but now it won't install it, instead just displays the source code to me.

Tried disabling every other addon that could be interfering with greasemonkey but it still won't install it.

It's being such a ball ache

Edit: Okay I got it to install, as well as the original script but still no extra features.

Do you have latest version installed (1.2.2)? Can you give me a link to a profile that you have opened and that doesn't display anything? Can you see the script activated and running when you click the greasemonkey dropdown button at the top corner?

Yeah I'm using Ver 1.2.2, I'm on Firefox 12.0.

Where abouts should the Greasemonkey dropdown button? I don't see a Greasemonkey button any where, but it is defiantly installed and working, I've got other scripts running so it's not disabled or anything.

That site has some major potential. Do you know how often does it update? Is it done automatically?

You wouldn't happen to be the creator, would you? If not I should probably try contacting him.

Updated installation requirements for Google Chrome versions 21 and above.

This is awesome, I've been using this for 3 months now and still love it!

I have, however, encountered an issue.

My bioware profile say I'm in Bronze league 1v1 : http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/2761617/1/Kitsunegari/

Where as sc2ranks says I'm in Diamond league 1v1 : http://sc2ranks.com/eu/2761617/Kitsunegari

When I try to get my Personal 1v1 Division, it is trying to fetch a Bronze league Division that doesn't seem to exist, thus end up showing nothing.

I was bronze back in the previous season but have since managed to grind my way to Diamond, how to fix this issue?

Thanks for the awesome feedback.

The problem was I was relying on the badge icon from the main profile page to get the user's league. I'm not sure what's Blizzard idea is with displaying an icon that doesn't match the user current league, or why they chose to give you a Bronze icon when you're already in Diamond... Anyway, I've now fixed the problem in 1.2.5.

They apparently display the icon from my "highest career finish" (I finished in bronze last season) rather than my current league (that I got promoted to in the current season) on battle.net, this is inconsistent with how your ingame profile work and I've no clue why Blizz has done this.

Anyhow, your fix is working great! I can once more fetch my personal 1v1 division for my current league and division!

Thanks a bunch mate, keep up the awesome work!

New version with the bonus pools for the new season (9).

Bonus pool numbers are now once again read from sc2ranks.com API. They will continue to update with each new season so long as sc2ranks.com keeps it's API up to date.

All of a sudden, I no longer view the enhanced battle.net profiles, it's back to the original plain blizzard profile.

What happened?

EDIT: Today I can once more view the "Enchanced Profile" but now all the adjusted points are showing extremely low numbers, from -900's to -1200's instead of the usual 0 for no games played and positive numbers the more you win.
