I'm going to miss my thors if they remove them... especially sense half the coolness of my CE will be gone then.

The new caster for zerg is really strong imo. The Spell that reduces the range of units to 1 seems to much. Mayble like 2-4 would be enough. It also combines with the swarm host so how will the terrans kill them if there are banelings in front,

Everyone offering alternatives just wants to recycle BW units into HotS. Have we reached a point in RTS where every possible balanced unit has been made?


They should recycle spider mines into SC2...hint hint. Seriously, how has it not occurred to them to add spider mines to terran yet. They keep looking for all these convoluted "positional units" when there already is a tried and tested one that's been in use for the last 11 years+.

No offense but browder knows about as much about balance as I do, he is a complete activision guy..what sells the most units in the first week and we will patch the rest.
The "rebalancing" shows this philosophy.
I just can't see this as being good for the scene but Im sure it will be good for the tm in the short term.

I won't have much time to play SC2 anymore once I head off to university....but the feel of BW just won't be in SC2. Was ranked C on iCCup during my peak and the feel of the game just isn't the same. Graphics of SC2=amazing. Same with interface. But the units, the subtlety, the "cute" plays just aren't there.

I've said this last year at the first preview of HotS.

Dustin is going about it the wrong way, which is why the RA franchise is completely shit.
Every race is starting to feel the same with different skins.

Our cultures are different because we value different things, like community/individuality, privacy/openness, etc

The old story was Protoss = individual/clan, Zerg = community/hive, Terran = I have no idea what I'm doing.
Their units reflected those cultures, zealot, zergling and the marine.
If he'd just stick to the formula I'm sure he could come up with something other than RA units with SC2 skins.

Yeah, those scraped units should be available in the editor - it'll make some fun UMS maps but back to the topic - I'm happy that Blizzard is experimenting with Protoss, but I'm not sure if I will like other capital ship than Carrier. Gameplay-wise - maybe, but focusing on lore - not so much. AA spider mines sound crazy :D

Makes me believe they don't really have players on the development team. I mean they already have ghosts for nukes to make people move siege lines. It would also be a bit weird if the turret was indirect fire and make the game feel less "starcrafty". It would probably be built defensively against tank pushes making the game even more gridlocked.

There is only one certainty I garnered from this latest update: HotS will not be released in 2012. Absolutely no way.

.. heh, at least that was the first thing that popped into my mind.

Happy about the replicant being scrapped, would have liked to have seen the shredder as I like the concept and it feels like it fits with the race, but not too too upset especially with a few high level Terrans popping in here and saying it was completely garbage/folded to deathballs.

Would still like the carrier and mothership to be salvaged, especially since they sound better than the changed tempest (although a bit absurd for me to say this without even videos or definite stats of the new unit..)

They actually said 2 titles according to IGN and the investor Conference Call, but judging by how far along the mists of pandaria beta is, that's likely the 2nd.

Idk... this update sound better than the original one so I guess Bliz is doing right, but hell, it's still godly awful.

- Remove Shredder:
Good, I hate this unit. It should be Protoss building imo, help with taking 3rd, defend vs muta and drop and stop mass roaches ling.
- Thor being keep instead of Warhound:
I hate warhound design, but I love the idea of having bonus damage vs Mech units. Why can't they give us smaller Thor (so can't be mass repair) do x4 hits instead of x2 (so better vs Immortal) and have no skill (so can't be feedbacked). It will make Thor much better in both TvT and TvP and less deathball in TvZ
- Super long range missile:
They must be joking... Nuke is so good already, make it +1 range or something would be a lot better.
This is so stupid
- Anti-air spider:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but are they giving Terran Scourge??? Eh with Turret, Marine and Thor Terran already fine, just need to have something vs BL now.
- Oracle:
Cool, I like this unit
- Replicant being removed:

- Tempest being long range attacker:
Uhh why don't they just fix the classic Carrier using old BW mechanic? I like the design of the tempest but I still prefer keeping Carrier

Nothing wrong with it but it seems too strong imo and I prefer Lurker, Zerg need some AoE.
- Viper Blinding skill:
Ok this is stupid, seriously. Only Bio? That sound like a counter skills, not a game changing skills. We don't need more "He makes X you need Y" stuffs and Infestor and Bane are already good vs Bio. Bring back Dark Swarm! It's A LOT better (I would use it even if it cost 200 Energy)
- Viper Energy regen:
Idk, sound way to gimmicky . I prefer Consume, way more Zerg like
- Keep Overseer:
Good, I dislike how OL being detector back in BW and Viper skill suck. But I don't think they need to make any cool ability for it
- New nydus network types:
I don't think it's necessary, just make nydus worm faster or cheaper
