2 normal gysers in the main, 1 normal gyser in the natural (-> same a 2 high yield) and then all other bases with 1 high yield gas?

Maybe, but it is harder for both people, so the game itself won't be harder as such. Let me put it this way - Would the game be better if whenever you wanted to build a worker you had to select your main building and type out the alphabet? Sure. It would be much harder, but it won't make it a better game. These maps are great for reasons other than making it "Harder" That make it more exciting ect. EDIT: Just realized I doubled, sorry :3

I am done playing on it though, unless blizzard starts supporting it playing on it is just me wishing it could always be that way and playing on the 6m won't help me in most tournaments I play in. If blizzard does start switching to it, it would be so badass but again dont' expect it ![]()

FRB? no this is the next step. MBPB (More bases per base) + Show Spoiler + So, what this does: 1. Adds way more bases, + Show Spoiler + sc2 maps barely reach 12 or 14 bases in total and frb? rarely reaches 20. this? 33. THATS RIGHT 33. holy cow. 2. Takes up the full space of sc2s engine 256 x 256 allowing rush distances to stretch for miles.+ Show Spoiler + MACRO is the game as we all know. Im actually plannin on boycotting hots until blizzard implements 512x512 which would make the game take at least 2 times the amount of skill of my plan! 3. More space more ace. + Show Spoiler + all this added space and bases makes people expand non stop taxing there multitasking abilities to the point where even flash would have trouble. and thats what we want. any thoughts? cause this would for certain make the game better and really allow sc2 units and gameplay mechanics to be played the way they were meant to be played. no more fast paced games no more excitement... just pure mechanics! Edit: also, no doodads so no lag! i have an idea. how about coming up with some reasonable and tangable evidence as to why FRB is a bad idea instead of attempting to make a joke out of it?

The games will be broadcasted live on Friday, April 13th at 8pm Eastern time at www.twitch.tv/pullsc and http://cybersports.tv/. The VoD's will be uploaded the following day at www.youtube.com/wiseoldsenex. Seriously, everyone should go check the brackets out. Boy is FRB ever going to get a stress test when these players get their hands on it! :D EDIT: We also have an interview with areaSaroVati, a member of Area 51 Gaming and highly skilled Protoss player who will be taking part of the FRB Grand Tournament. For his experiences in Starcraft 2, the FRB Variant and preparing for the Tournament watch the link below:

Also, thinking about GSL players has got me thinking ahout TvT. TvT is one of the matchups I'm the least interested in seeing improved, as it's already strategically quite interesting. Really, I think it's ZvZ, PvP, PvZ, and PvT that would benefit the most from a FRB setting. In ZvZ/PvP we might see a decrease in one-base plays, and in Pv*, less deathballs. Barrin - I see you mentioned other matchups a lot in the OP. Do you have any thoughts on how FRB would affect TvT?

I think it both players are going mech or marine-tank, maybe fighting over map control becomes more important because it translates into safer expansions. Sadly, I think the openings will become less interesting with only 6m1hyg in the mains. Or at least, players would have to figure everything out again so the good openings haven't been thought of yet.

You'd need 4 bases probably, and spreading yourself out that much could make you pretty vulnerable. In the past, if a certain sequence has played out, the game can extend to over an hour with a perfect deadlock, and every mineral on the map is mined out. In the worst case, FRB will just extend this play further.

Also : did Barrin talk to the peepmode creator yet? last time I posted in the thread to get some publicity for FRB, he seemed to still be waiting for a good FRB map. Any progress on that front? EDIT : also im still abit sad there arent alot of ppl playing FRB on EU, or atleast there arent many people in the channels. I thought if it got inside one of those peepmode map lists it might be played abit more on EU

Gas steals on the one gyser have a much much higher effect and could become really tough to stop. How about the following suggestion: 2 normal gysers in the main, 1 normal gyser in the natural (-> same a 2 high yield) and then all other bases with 1 high yield gas? How about keeping gas steals as very meaningful? Blizzard probably won't officially support this because of stubborn pride (they still added resources to Daybreak, for example), but that doesn't stop us from doing their job of game design.

I decided to provide a slightly better replay. http://www.sc2replayed.com/replay-videos/18561 Basic a-moving of roaches. Are you sure that you won because of FRB or because toss tried a questionable 3gate exp into not scouting and therefore reacting properly to your roachball which was engaged way too bad and late? I mean it was a really big ball of roaches, but the way he engaged and lost units beforehand doesnt prove you right. Nobody says FRB is balanced to the last detail, we just want to see gameplay on a broader scale mapwise, as those games tend to be most epic ones. And I personally feel FRB is on the right track to accomplish that goal. And a word to the gas steals. AFAIK you can easily prevent a gassteal by just righclicking your worker to gas and parking it there. This way the opponent isn't able to build his building because you block it.
