Given a mouse like this one, what hotkeys would you guys map to it as zerg? I have done a few setups, but I keep finding my keyboard to be more convenient.

This is really good for injects and the like.

It's way easier to me than tabbing between sentries/templar or different production buildings.

Just use the keyboard hotkeys and the backspace trick. You should be fine. ![]()

Have the speed for it at 100% I actually use it once in a while for quick look around or when watching replays and having no hand on the keyboard ![]()

As zerg I use mouse button 1 and 2 for my army. Imo you really dont want to be using 6-7-8-9 on ur keyboard unless ur using some kind of inject metod with those keys or have really big hands. My keybinds are § - Creepslave 1 - Hatches 2 - Queens 3 - Army - Infestors or mutas 4 - Army - Main army 5 - Tech Mouse 1 - Army - Broodlords or ling runbys Mouse 2 - Army - Corruptors or mutas or drop cleenup squad Shift mouse 1 - Main hatch (to check for when to inject) Shift mouse 2 - Army (anti drop squad) When I first started playing sc2 I mapped these out as the most effient keys I could use.

Such as something spawning or an upgrade completing or your base under attack.

Maybe it's because i'm left-handed and it feels more comfortable doing everything on my keyboard, since I got my mouse on my right hand.

I used to have control on the left mouse button so I could just mouse button and press a number to bind hotkeys, it was super useful in brood war when you needed to use all 10 hotkeys. Especially cause I have super small girly hands. D= Stopped using it after a while cause I found myself accidentally adding/deleting control groups if I pressed on the button too hard when macroing, I kind of play old fashioned now - no fancy inject method or alternate hotkeys, just camera hotkeys on f2-f6 brood war style.

This binds mouse4 to queens and mouse5 to hatches. Works like a charm for nice injects and less finger movement.

I come from WoW and my most important things were on mouse 4 and 5 (trinkets, O-SHIT-Buttons)... Sure this is a completely different game, but its much more convinient for me to use the mouse hotkeys even in SC2. If you always played RTS games, then i think itsp retty hard maybe to use these keys. When i was zerg my hotkeys on the mouse were Mouse 5 - Camera Position where the active creep tumors are Shift + Mouse 5 - Set Camera to current location so every time after spreding creep i hit shift ouse 5 and when i remembered to spread further just mouse 5 and you are exactly there. something like main hatch for inject-checks sounds also good if you have all your hatches on 1 hotkey (cant check inject timer anymore)

I do use the forward mouse button (button 4) as the control group for all hatches. It works perfectley when you are in the middle of fights where you have to change the rally points all the time.

Though if you were a paladin you could have had all your 1-3 lol..... Camera jumping to all of your bases is nice though. As toss find idle worker key kinds pointless if you shift que things. So I rebound f1 to a camera jump key

If you are protoss or Terran by nature. You won't do it, and you'll know exactly why. But all you need is left click right click and a working mouse.
