Yep. Goodbye, Playhem. I won't be watching, supporting, or participating in Playhem or its tournaments ever again.
I guess I hope you're happy.

I think TeamLiquid.net should be renamed to PMS.net...I don't get how so many people can get worked up about something so small.
Playhem has posted a very thoughtful response. Sure, caster made a mistake, he apologized, I am sure he will be more careful in the future.

I guess I hope you're happy. Hahaha oh god these drama queens. :D
ps I will never be visiting the US again because there was this one American on a forum who was a real douche.

Of course not, but this is the kind of stuff you get when you have official casters saying stuff like this.
Stream cheating, match fixing, all these things need to have a gloves off approach. This is the kind of stuff that will ruin tournaments and organizations one day. Jokes and trolling are inappropriate anyway during a professional cast but when it includes this type of factually incorrect subject matter there's all kinds of haziness that results.
He needs to be punished in some way. I'm all about second chances though, but asking about redemption even without an apology is kind insincere.
Edit: To be clear, from Katu, not the CEO.

It was just a joke that went slightly overboard, since he had already apologized on the stream, i suggest that we get over with it. What else you want him to do? kneel on the floor and ask for forgiveness? I think nowadays people tend to overreact on everything.

So much drama for almost nothing. People speaking of unprofessionalism without even watching the video...

I guess I hope you're happy. Wow, careful up there man, don't fall off the dizzying heights of your moral high ground there, might do yourself some damage.
Playhem had a representative posting their apologies to Dragon, and how they were dealing with the situation. Perhaps that wasn't enough for you? Fair enough, your prerogative by all means.

What is it with this community and witch hunting

Katu is gonna regret his arrogance.

I think it's funny how people will post about wanting eSports to grow and to be taken seriously by society and will compare it to the NBA, NFL, UFC, etc but then at the same time they dismiss situations like this as an overreaction. But stuff like this just reinforces the way people view those who play video games; immature little kids. Do you think a major company or business would let a spokesperson or representative say things like this and represent them this way? Of course not.
If you want SC2 to be taken seriously then you have to take action against stupid situations like this and not just brush it under the rug.

i just want to say that the Playhem rep or CEO or whatever, that guy is way cool and his response was above and beyond the "call of duty" if you will. so please dont crap on Playhem (or anyone else for that matter). im all for bringing it to the attention of the community and stuff, but distnace the org from the caster. just my 2 half-pennies.

there's a difference between taking something seriously and running around like your dicks on fire ready to behead everyone around you.

Pretty impressed by Playhems response to this. I just hope Bonk will still get casting gigs without this Katu donk.

Wow... Really?
Kinda taken back at how some people are treating this as a big deal.... Honestly, who gives a flying fuck what the caster said, playhem are providing $75 tournies EACH DAY! One little hiccup that some people take personally and it's like as if it's the end of the world!
Grow up!
I swear the interwebs gets to people sometimes.... :s
P.S - I actually watched the stream and thought it was funny to be quiet funny. LOL.

I've watched Katu stream and he's been alright before but I NEVER heard of this from Dragon...This is quite a mystery but I don't think Katu has any right to make bold claims like he did without any concrete proof
|
Katu is the boy who cried wolf here. He went and got people angry, laughed in their face, and is now wondering why they're turning against him now.
Of course people will take that kind of bashing unkindly. He's not even made a sincere apology.
It's a shame because I thought he was doing decent casting in the KSL.

Well, this pretty much sums up what I think about it. Won't blame Playhem for what happened and Bonk has nothing to do with it at all. But I'll stay away from Katu in the future.

That's a brilliant linguistically crafted metaphor except it doesn't really apply to the measured discussion in 99% of this thread. But if you're looking for exaggerations...is there a mirror somewhere?
