He made some bad jokes, yeah. A little distasteful. But, to be honest, I was really disappointed after all the hype when I listened to the VOD.
Was expecting plenty of racial slurs/condemning of Dragon as a terrible terrible person and instead all I got were a few stupid references to stream cheating etc...
Grow the fuck up, people.
Because nothing screams "I'm mature" like saying "nigger" solely to get a rise out of people and garner attention and then defending it by essentially saying you don't give a damn if it offends people, the problem is with them having a problem with it, not you saying it.

pretty sure people are too uptight, you could tell he was joking

My God people. Get over it. Katu messed up, he appologized and he got punished. What more do you want from the guy? People make mistakes. Would you want to have a mob chasing you long after you apologize and get punished? No, you wouldn't.

Grow the fuck up, people. He openly slandered a player on a broadcasted stream. And saying that it was a "joke" does not change the fact that accusing a player of cheating can be extremely damaging to their career.
We're not talking about a casual insult here; this would be civil lawsuit material, if either people involved actually had money to their names.

Seriously this was so blown out of proportion. playhem "disgrace" wtf? The guy barely deserved a slap on the wrist. This community qq's so much over the stupidest things because they like to feel special when they make drama. So sad.

If this was a sports caster saying that "everyone knows this player takes steroids", we'd be talking about a lawsuit for a very sizable chunk of cash.

That isn't the point. If either Playhem or Dragon had a problem with what Katu said, then they should deal with it privately. Having a bunch of kids on an forum crying about something is ridiculous. The point is, no one in this thread has anything to do with this issue. All this thread is doing, is giving a really good company (Playhem) a bad name. This whole generation is full of stupid kids that think their voices are somehow important and all they're really doing is messing things up.

As opposed to the last 5 generations that did the exact same thing?
And slander isn't a private matter...that's the whole reason it's a civil offence, because you made a public statement that everyone heard. And the point of community discussions is to bring to light the issue, and the disseminate the facts to correct the misinformation.
The alternative is that Dragon never listens to the broadcast (because many players don't watch their VoDs), Playhem doesn't get notified of the offence (because someone likely isn't monitoring their casters every second), Katu's slander doesn't get publicly identified, and you're left with a career damaging statement which never gets cleared up.
That's the point of having a community in the first place.

Are you serious?
Katu trashed on his viewers. He insulted and humiliated Dragon's fans. Sure, he can have an opinion, but he didn't have to mock all those people to make his point. He wasn't neither discreet nor diplomatic in the situation. A public announcer/broadcaster needs to have people skills.
Playhem had a problem with people having a problem with Katu. This isn't just about Dragon. This is about the viewers.

Why would you think this incident gives Playhem a bad name? I only see it giving a bad name to Katu. Playhem comes out of this looking good.
And I find it monumentally stupid to say that people's voices are not important. That is quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever seen said on the internet. No exaggeration.

Stop making a fuss over nothing, Katu is fine - grow a pair.
You either didn't watch the video at all, or you are as big of a pretentious douchebag as Katu is. I don't remember moletrap doing anything worse than making up bad stuff about a player being kicked out of a team, or about when they stream cheated, or accusing them of currently stream cheating. I also don't remember moletrap ever attempting to belittle his audience and go on about how they don't matter and if they don't like what he's saying should stop watching.
Thank you for redherring this thread, this isn't about Moletrap, it's about Katu....

I don't ever watch playhem, but after learning more about the company, it seems like a cool place. That said, I watched the vod and listened to Katu's casting, and I think it's pretty good. I can't believe people are so sensitive about the screencheating comments; Katu even mentions that he is just having fun and is super tired. Definitely feel like fans and Playhem as a whole overreacted, poor guy.

Damn.....so casters can say whatever they want and just say "eh, im tired." how dumb of u to post being tired is an excuse to completely trash a players rep on a stream :\
Yes it was blown out of proportion, but ur comment made me laugh

Yeah, I think this was blown out of proportion as well. It was unprofessional for Katu to make those allegations, and he should have taken the hint to shut up, but the punishment disproportionate to the offense.
