I mean many people cheated did wrong, and they realized their mistake...Dimaga as example, there always will be people who dont like them and will bring their past up...but to me it feels that Katu doesnt like Dragon personally... As a caster, you shouldn't really be trashing the players, especially when there are quite a lot of people watching your stream just to watch him. Quite unprofessional.
Also, I fully agree with Playhem's decision to not have Katu represent them any more.

Grow the fuck up, people. Destiny, why you butt hurt, I seen your VOD at 1:41:00 you already cried about dragon getting a free trip out of the deal. I for one think you need to grow up, the only actions of a "ridiculous child" are the ones you put forth. It wasn't just what you heard either, chat was flaming. Aside from this issue of non-argument because what happened has already transpired, we now know who is the ridiculous child who doesn't care about anyone that doesn't massage your ego. IDK who's right here- I don't really follow SC2, but seriously this isn't how to talk to your possible fans and people who watch your stream. Try and be a little professional. As soon as you start thinking you're better than the people who essentially pay for you to do what you do, and talking down to them, you're going to have a problem. iirc this "Destiny" character is some kind of foreigner streamer/gamer...

Destiny telling people to grow up... the irony is overwhelming. I guess groping girls while you're drunk and using the term 'nigger' are signs of maturity.

Hahahaha, finally watched the VOD and am floored by how boring the comments were. It was odd of him to say bad things about Dragon just because of his past, but the "inaccuracies" of Katu's comments were pretty minor. The worst thing he said was that Dragon is a known stream-cheater, which is true. The inaccurate parts were only sorta inaccurate. He wasn't banned from SlayerS, but he was banned from WeRRa. He wasn;t banned from any tournaments I know of, but there was huge outrage in Korea when Dragon was allowed to compete in GSL3, so much so that Mr. Chae had to issue an official statement on the issue.
So I dunno. He probably shouldn't have been bashing on Dragon the way he did, but didn't do anything evil.

Oh seriously dude. Fuck up. A good majority of you are blowing this waaay outta proportion. Possbile fans? You either like him or don't. Don't just put forth bullshit to try and prove a point.
It's quiet disgusting how quick half of the community is to shit on people who help this game grow. Just be thankful we have so many damn casters! Go join the Counter-strike scene and see how far that game has come along in e-sports. Ungrateful pigs!
I literally typed "fuck off" when I tried to login in this pissed me off that much!

I'm sorry, what? Counter-Strike has been THE eSports title of the west for the last 10+ years. And while it may slowly be dying, and being replaced by the likes of SC2 and LoL it's still going pretty strong even today. Just check out IEM.
Tournaments like the CPL were offering prize pools of 300,000 USD in 2005 with 90,000 going to the winning team. I don't think we've seen a Starcraft 2 tournament being able to match that amount of money yet.
Fucking read up on your shit, before you start preaching about eSports.

Well played by the Bonk guy, he was put in a very awkward position by Katu but handled it very well I think.

You think people were flipping out in live chat during the event because he said something about slayer? No, it was purely reference to dragon cheating.
If people get mad at a joke, there must be some truth behind it.
The 'truth' in it is that Dragon did stream cheat in the past. What makes it sensitive is that he's now for 18 months been working hard to restore his reputation. clear his name and become accepted again. To then come accusing or heavily insinuating that he's currently stream cheating again with no substance to the accusation what so ever is so incredibly cheap, low and douchy. You don't do that, it's not acceptable. This is not a new or strange concept.

So if he posts on a public forum (e.g anywhere on the internet) he has to behave professionally and think about his "possible" fans? What the fuck are you smoking? Even though he's a public internet character(/personality?) doesn't mean he shouldn't be allowed to speak his mind.
|
Katu clearly doesn't like Dragon. Even though he's not wrong about Dragon's past, he's still being very unprofessional in this cast. Dragon's been trying to clear his reputation and this kind of thing can be very damaging if handled poorly.
|
Seriously Guys, i think a lot of people take this way too personal, or why are so many of u arguementing like Katu is a big bucket of scum? I mean it wasn't ok what he said, and thats all... Why are so many people now judging this, when nearly every chat of every Cast or Tournament is full of Shit too? The community should really calm down a bit, or even try to learn from this. I mean how many times we have to read totally stupid things like "Day9 is dead" "Stephano is best USA Player" and what ever else? I mean trolling seems to be an eSport-Problem in general, but why this upset? I mean it isn't like he badly disgracred Dragon, he just told his sight and overacted quite a bit, but is that worth to create such a shitstorm? Honestly i don't get that. I think everybody should first think about his own actions or behaviour, before he judges someone for mistakes he makes....

Destiny? Contributing to eSports? Please elaborate on how that is done.

Katu and Dragon should do a fight to the death in an octagon , preferably with a Katana .

I think Dragon was siege tank abusing with supply depots only last month, good way to clear his name and become accepted.
Anyway Katu was clearly out of line and Playhem have dealt with it, a pretty nice result for Dragon I must say.

He brings people in with his personality. You may not like it but he speaks his mind. He is an IdrA Character. I agree with him on this point tho. People overreacted to this whole thing.

Dragon was using the siege tank exploit, but at the end of the game he gave the opponent the win. And that player reported him and got his account banned. =]

I fill sorry for him because he was joking but the joke went to far in my opinion, he was just making fun of the troll that think there funny.......and katu project his voice very good. People also say dumb stuff after long days of work.....

Man, after watching the VOD I can't understand why this thread has 52 pages. It wasn't that bad.

Somewhat unprofessional? Yep. A reason to be kicked as a caster and made out to be the asshole of the month by a raging band of fanboys? Absolutely not. I will miss you Katu, been following Playhem for quite some time. Playhem, shame on you for taking it in that deep without any sign of a spine. And props for Destiny for speaking out loud what I think.
