He made some bad jokes, yeah. A little distasteful. But, to be honest, I was really disappointed after all the hype when I listened to the VOD.
Was expecting plenty of racial slurs/condemning of Dragon as a terrible terrible person and instead all I got were a few stupid references to stream cheating etc...
Grow the fuck up, people.
Yet again one who doesnt know what the fuck hes talking about. I expected more from you Destiny....
For the thousandth time Katu made two main slanderous comments: 1) That Dragon was kicked from Slayers for cheating. and 2) That Dragon was banned from GSL for cheating.
Katu made those statements about a teamless player in front of thousands of people and as evidenced by this thread many had no idea that the statements were totally false. I'm sure at this point if you are even reading this you understand that it is slightly more of a big deal than a caster just making some "stupid references to stream cheating" although he did do that as well.

firing katu was a reasonable choice. the tourn he commentated in was prized, duked out by players of of high caliber, and using the power of commentator to attempt to destroy someone's reputation ( by accusing of cheating, and showing the inside story which was NOT NEEDED AT ALL for someone who faced punishment already) off of weak hypothesis is rather stupid, and taking advantage. this is E-SPORTS after all.
people knows that dragon is a possibly known cheater, but just to ballz out say whatever shit in your without any real hard proof disgusts me ESPECIALLY AS A COMMENTATOR. should of turned the replay in and analyzed than instant criticism while live.

and sexual offenders are on a list forever and have to disclose their location to local police and go door to door where they live and tell everyone they did X. you know you can be a sex offender for streaking?
And you're saying that his cheating is in the past and should not have been brought up? Imagine how beneficial that would be to society if noone had to check the "convicted felon" box, because yes, the past DOES matter.

You still don't understand. His past WASN'T brought up. It was made up. The actual facts of him getting cought stream cheating on a smurf while in the werra team was never brought up. Facts were MADE UP about him being caught stream cheating while on slayers and being kicked out for it and being banned from tournaments. None of that happened, and none of what actually happened was brought up. Please educate yourself a bit before coming back here and arguing the completely wrong information. Please go and learn the actual facts instead of believing what was said by the caster in question.

I read the facts on dragon on liquipedia. I also listened to the commentating over and over. there's reasonable enough overlap for me to say he wasn't lying. maybe poor explanation skills, but not lying.

So saying that dragon was kicked out of slayers (he wasn't kicked out he left) for stream cheating (he didn't stream cheat in slayers) and is banned from tournaments (he's not banned from any tournaments) is poor explanation skills? Are you trolling right now?

you say as if sex offender deserves the same punishment as a amature, possible stream cheater, what has the world gone to? and how would you feel if a commentator blatantly commented on one player with such SELF PRIDE while live, based on their OWN INFORMATION.

There is a difference between saying "he has cheated in distant past", and saying "he is still actively cheating, that's why he has recently been kicked out of his team, and he is probably cheating right now".

I think that Dragon should be held accountable for his actions he had in the past but what Katu did was incredibly stupid. He was obviously implying that Dragon was stream cheating when there was absolutely no evidence. From my view is seemed like the complete opposite since he got countered not him countering.

Wait so playhem fired him?

I don't get it either, but I don't think this is really the thread to talk about that.

Anyone who's watched at least one cast of him before would get he was joking and not make a big deal.
Personally I'm not a big fan of his style, by the way, and usually watch something else if there are options - BUT I believe he should be free to cast as he wishes, as long as he has enough loyal viewers, which he has.

He should know, his channel is always full of ridiculous children. I don't see what Jesus has to do with this either...
It's a sad day when Destiny has to tell us to grow up. Shame on ourselves!

Totally agree. People must be bored or something... This isn't even drama ffs and dragon has a full ride to IPL4, Katu has apologized and life goes on. Apparently 50 page thread doesn't want to die.
