Although no longer on the team, Lopez will play out the rest of the ESEA season with CheckSix Gaming, which will be held throughout the week of February 27th against Its Gosu.
Isn't this kind of shady? Has there ever been any precedent when a team essentially kept a free agent as ringer before?
ReIGN is doing it for IPL TAC, having their players pay their matches until they find a new team.
ReIGN is different though, that team actually dissolved. It's either they play out IPL as the players formerly on ReIGN or forfeit rest of the season, which can realistically mess up the team league rankings badly. Most people applaud the ReIGN players for finishing off their obligations to the fans.
Check 6, on the other hand, got plenty of bodies left. They're in no danger of forfeiting the season, so keeping MajOr on board is purely a move to improve their ESEA finish. If that's okay, what's stopping the other team from hiring MC for a day or something equally ridiculous? (maybe not MC, but SjoW is free agent right now)
I don't know what IPL does, but if I'm not mistaken, in the GSTL you a set in stone lineup for the entire season that cannot be changed. You can't add players mid-season. And I'm going to assume that MajOr told CheckSix that he was going to play out the IPL season, and if the IPL does what the GSTL does, he'd still be on the lineup and can play for CheckSix.
Check 6 isn't playing in IPL, they're playing in the ESEA playoffs. Not sure what the ruleset on ESEA said about whether teams can employee free agents or not.
Knowing ESEA though, even if it was against the rules it won't matter.

For future reference, CheckSix keeps no amount of winnings that any player of ours (in any games) earns. So, if a player wants to finish out a league season, it would probably be because they want the most amount of money they can get by putting forth the best lineup. Congratulations to It's Gosu for the win regardless.

lastshadow still saying major is the best foreigner terran, i dont think they have any problem right now...
I hear about Major every couple of months but haven't really gotten to see him play much. With this new opportunity I hope I get to see him more, especially after Artosis hyped him up so much last year.

Lastshadow obviously has a problem if he thinks Major is the best foreigner terran.. :p

He found a new team, and x6 weren't that supportive of him staying in Korea, yet people are treating this like he ragequit sixjax or something.
Grow up, people. The judgments you have formulated in your mind are not applicable to reality.
So? Did he win anything? Did he show any results? No he didn't. You should grow out of your blind fanboyism (a sickness many people in here have, not only for Major but for other players aswell). Up to today, Major hasn't had a single success. The only time we hear from him is when he changes his teams like underpants. Nothing else. Where is the value in a player like that?
juan has a completely different mindset than kas. juan only cares about getting to korea and playing with the best players in the world. kas is completely content with playing the same five opponents every online cup.
but if major cant get to Korea and win a lot of stuff, at the end of the day, who will be more satisfied?
he did get to korea and he's there right now. juan wants to play against the best players and he knows that korea is the place to be. kas stays at home and plays online cups every weekend but somehow that translates to him being a better player in some peoples minds.
And just being in Korea immediately translates into them being the better player? No. Kas has more to show for being the better player. Just because Princess is in Korea means absolutely nothing.
being in korea is the best way to improve. juan shows a drive to improve his game and train with the best players in the world while kas stagnates in online tournaments.
Yet he is still better than Major...
You are quite delusional if you think that is actually true ^^
k... and what's your point? i didn't say that one was better than the other.... tbh, i don't think any of them are top-tier so... i was just throwin out some facts.
Then stop throwing randomly some facts, because major isnt good/accomplished as GoOdy and SjoW.
K, this obviously is really a hot-topic with you so (your the first reply on the thread with a kind of snarky comment) i'll just leave you be. but i do want to put it out there that i'm still pretty sure that's not how ELO works.
When you playing more game than other players, your win rate gets lower and lower.
When I read this some players winratio Flashed before my eyes. Sorry buddy, you're clueless. On topic- I'll judge Majorwhatevers skills when he actually makes news with his play.
