Stop being idiots. It's all on his wiki page. Major won the Latin America Battle Net Invitational 2011.

Since then he's been in and out of Korea and since he's a minor living with his mother, he can't travel to tournaments on his own without a strong sponsorship, which it sounds like he is getting.

I'm sure you'd like to think so, but seeing as Major hasn't had a streamed tournament game in three months... You seem to be bang out of luck.

Also, what credentials do you have to doubt lastshadow?

Take a few replays from a Major replay pack and a Kas replay pack... the difference is pretty damn immense. Kas might have a better mindset and MAYBE even better decision making, but the cleanliness and finesse of his general play is nothing in comparison.

Also, Merz's apm might be high but his map awareness is comparatively terrible when contrasted with Kas or Major... Notice that lastshadow was citing eapm, of which, Merz's isn't much higher than the average progamer.

who the fuck cares about APM, eAPM, CPM or any of this shit? Kas is the superior player and quite frankly its not close right now. Hell Sjow and Goody are slow and yet they are still better than Major. Major has been all hype.

And desrow, Juan has been on 4 teams, well now 5 with this new one. He was joining ONE before ROOT and ditched them at the last second.

Sjow and Goody arent better than Major wtf

Sjow and Goody have both accomplished way more than Major has though.

Maybe they have worse mechanics, but they can bring their a-game when its necessary.

I don't even understand how you can put Goody, who gets supply blocked more than a regular master player, in the same league as Major...

Goody is nowhere near Major in skill. Pretty damn sure Major would beat Sjow anyday too.

It's quite simple. Goody so far has much more accomplishments than major, so actually major is not in the same league as goody. Unless you're counting all his clan hopping as an accomplishment, even then he wouldn't have even close to half of what goody does. And before you flame, no I am not a fan of goody.

What exactly has Goody accomplished? Winning German events and maybe a few online cups? Major obviously doesn't care at all about those tournaments. He's in Korea, that's his only goal. I guarantee you MajOr is much more talented than Goody. If he has inferior results it's because he doesnt give a shit about those small tournaments.

GoOdy played final at Battle in Berlin and beat stephano in semi final, qualified for TSL 3 and played round of 16!

Sup?

What about major? losing Tear in online tournament and laddering on korean server?

this post is like the best proof ever that citing 1 win doesnt mean anything about a players skill.

At least better than saying "he is playing on korean server, so talented and dont care about foreign tournaments bla bla bla"

Pokebunny/kawaiirice and Illusion on same level with Major, he isnt something special.

Think whatever you want. When he's on a Korean team and Goody is fallen out of the scene we will see who is in more tournaments.

When he is on a Korean team they will not even have the financial resources to fly him all over the world unless he is a real contender in the GSL.

i have only the vaugest idea who any of these players are, and i have no idea how the TLPD ELO thing works, so take this how you will but:

Goody ELO rank: 172
win record: 859-637 (57.42%)

SJow ELO rank: 73
win record: 554-423 (56.70%)

Illusion (i assume you mean VileIllusion?) ELO rank: 132
win record: 47-43 (52.22%)

Major ELO rank (holy hell he's gotta a lot of AKAs): 125
win record: 147-96 (60.49%)

seems to me that there shouldn't be too much argument about who is better. take that how you will.

beating ReasoN/CatZ and dKiLLeR is such a great achivement, isnt it?(no player bashing here, just saying they are not on ret's or nerchio's level.)

edit:

yep, you definitely have no idea about how TLPD works.

GoOdy's and SjoW's win rate is lower than major because of they are played more game(tournaments than major.

something about your post is annoying me (mainly the fact of cherry picking the wins for one and the other) so i looked it up. again, take this how you will:

Major has beaten:

Naniwa (2-1 EG Masters Cup #5)
BeastyQT (2-0 2011 GCPL S2)

edit: btw, i don't think that's how ELO works. notice that Sjow has a much higher rank while having a lower win ratio?

something about yours post is annoying me, so i looked it up sjow's and GoOdy's history!

take this how you will:,

GoOdy 2 NesTea 1(TSL 3)
GoOdy 2 ret 0(HSC)
GoOdy 2 Sleep 0(zotac monthly)
SjoW 2 Polt 0 (game credits cup)
SjoW 2 Rain 0 (mlg raleigh)
SjoW 2 NaNiwa 0 (mlg raleigh)

SjoW have more game than 1000 and GoOdy have more game than 1500.

you really need to stop arguing about ELO/win rates.

I think he wants to be able to go to tournaments. Not gonna happen without a team willing to send him there, he doesn't have the money probably.

I think Major is better than everyone in Code S at the moment. Well not by results, but his pure talent is way better than anyone in GSL/Code S has. Maybe more talent than Da Vinci, or Messi, Shakespeare, Isaac Newton, Mark Zuckerberg.

In talent, he maybe the best to ever roamed this world. In talent, you can't prove me wrong.

But as far as results go, Major probably isn't that good. Yet. Or maybe he never will. But he got the talent! Or does he? Hmm.

K, this obviously is really a hot-topic with you so (your the first reply on the thread with a kind of snarky comment) i'll just leave you be. but i do want to put it out there that i'm still pretty sure that's not how ELO works.

Good Luck to both sides though, their doen't seem to be a bitter aftertaste in this one which is unusual for Major.

I'd say Major should offrace zerg and show his skills at tech switching!

Anyways, any news on what his next big thing will be? It's been couple of days since this news...

When you playing more game than other players, your win rate gets lower and lower.

SjoW's win rate in short term(same game number with major) is like 80%ish, because of SjoW is solid in all match ups.

MajOr's vZ = 52-32 +20 win and 61.90% win rate

SjoW's vZ : 160-130 (55.17%) = +30 with 55.17% win rate, because of SjoW played more game than MajOr.Also SjoW's all time vZ opponents is harder than major's.
