So as most of you are aware, blizzard just "gave" a new free character name change, but, I am having issues using it.
Just for the sake of doing so, I wanted to type the name in Korean, but even thought I have had the hanja keyboard installed for a long time, and its been working on text files, internet browsers, msn, etc, I can't get it to work properly on the battle.net name change.
The issue is whenever I type a letter, so for example, 아즈텍 would end up as 텍 because whenever I type a new syllable, it replaces the first set of letters, and whenever I try to use space, to space out the syllables, it deletes the currently selected ones.
I've googled a lot, found someone whining about it on the official bnet forums but that was about it in regard to sc2.

You cant get a korean name on NA server if thats what you are trying to do

So "for the sake of doing so"; just do it in western. Since you worded it that way I guess you are not korean and have no real reason for choosing random korean as your ID?

You can only do it via the Korean client.

You could try typing korean into a different text area (e.g., notepad), and then copy pasting it into blizzard's entry field.

This wouldn't work for the name change box for the SEA/TW/EU/NA clients.

Exactly you can only do it using the TW/Korean Client. Not the EU/NA Client sorry mate.

Even using the TW client you cannot input Korean; TW client only accepts English and Chinese.

Is this a client issue or a server issue? If it's a client issue I would imagine you could change the locale on korean client to get a korean name on NA

he/she could be as korean as kimchi and not be able to do it on NA or EU client, as it does not support hangul. but way to be bitchy against someone who is just asking a question..

haha, Taiwan doesn't have majority Thai speakers. Thai speakers mostly come from Thailand. I guess you got it mixed up.

How do people manage to get stuff like ǂ and other symbols and non a-z letters not originally on their keyboards into their names? I tried copy+paste but it didnt work. Or maybe I missclicked somehow and then gave up too early.

Just because I am not korean, and taking into account I have never been to korea, and that looking at my post you should be able to notice I am at least trying to learn something out of it, and I am having fun doing so, and if I managed to take just a little bit more of pleasure from some random guy starting to talk to me in korean at the ladder, why wouldn't I take it?
