Definitive eSports brings you Chobo to Gosu - In Korean chobo means a person new to something while a skilled person is called Gosu. Pughy takes centre stage as D-eSports Gosu, while BanKs asks the chobo questions and takes part in the live training sessions, taking you from the very basics of Starcraft II, helping you every step of the way to improve. This will be broadcast twice a week, Monday and Thursday, offering a free coaching lesson from a high master’s Protoss player, who is able to offer great practical information to the viewers on all three races.
Q.What is Chobo to Gosu? A. Chobo to Gosu is a show on D-eSports that broadcasts twice a week, aiming to teach you more about Starcraft II in a free coaching session with Pughy, who is a high masters Protoss player on EU. In this show we will take you from Chobo to Gosu, helping you understand Starcraft II from the very basics to a more advance level of play
Q.What makes your show different to others? A.Well for starts, we truly have a very experienced, Gosu if you like in Pughy and a total Chobo who loves the game in JBanKs, with that in mind we aim to really give the new starts an awesome experience and if you can't check it out we will get the VOD's up a day or two after the shows. Also the last 10 minutes of each episode you guys will have a chance to ask any questions you may have from what you saw during the episode.
Q.Where and when can we watch the show? A.You can view the show over at D-eSports and it will be broadcast Mondays at 20:00 GMT and Thursdays at 21:00 GMT for the near future, though it may change and we will update this thread as well as our website if this happens.
Q.Why should you watch it? A.It is a free coaching lesson with a high masters player, going really in-depth to teach you Starcraft from its very basic form. Also after each weeks episodes, we will ask for the viewers to submit replays of them using what they learnt in a game, we will then pick the best replay and the winner will receive a gaming product from our sponsor ANTEC.
A big thanks to ANTEC for supporting the project and I hope you guys will join us tonight from 20:00 GMT (+1 CET)
We also run The Definitive Weekly eSports talk show, a recap of the weeks eSports new with special guests - TL post can be found HERE.

we thought about having more but Pughy is confident with all three races up to masters level and is really great with explaining what is going on, one of the reasons he was chosen to work on this project. We hope to bring you guys some really useful content and all get some feedback each episode from you guys, as this is a community driven project.

You should all definitely tune in to this one, it's going to be good! Banks and crew are all very dedicated and work hard at this, it would be a crime to see it fail. they asked me to come on-board and write-up eSports news on the site d-esports.com and it's going well. If you want to support the EU/UK scene you need to show your support by watching and getting involved, help grow it. I'll be watching to scout out Banks see if he's competition for me haha.

Am I the only one who thought we would get to see replays or gameplays from upcoming Korean players? Like from the ST house? :D
|
will definitely be watching !!!!

Dont worry gentlemen, hopefully something like that will be happening in future :D
As for tonights and the next few episodes we will be starting from the uber beginning to bring future SC2 gamers the definitive 'if you wanna learn sc2 watch these' tutorials.
Should be alot of fun and I hope all of you tune in :D

Sounds awesome! Gold league Chobo Zerg here, and I'm always up for some good learnin's
- will you be cycling through each race consistantly? or choosing which is best for the focus of each lesson? - is JBanKs going to going to be learning all 3 races, or will you be swapping chobos?
can't wait! -Shmu

Maybe so but we are coming at it from our way and Pughy is the gosu to us at the lower levels for this series Thanks for the insight though

dont mean to be overly negative but http://sc2ranks.com/eu/219537/Pughy unless you have ton of bonus pool points thats not high masters.
I'm sure this show can be very helpful for low lvl players but I feel like the name is a bit unfortunate cause it brings peoples expectations up
|
true, i dont want to be rude and i do like the idea of ur show but terms like 'gosu' and 'bonjwa' are usually reserved for the tip top
either way ur msg of improvement is clear !
|
Definitely tuning in.
VODs with pros going over their replays is good proper 1 to 1 coaching can't be beaten, especially for lower leagues.
Notepads at the ready fellow chobos!
