For example, in brood war, units such as the Devourer, Queen, Scout etc. are rarely used, but should they be removed from the game? No. They are not imbalanced, but they are unique in their own way and should not be touched. | ||

*Brood War comparison in spoiler, but not looking to start the BW v SC2 fight.* + Show Spoiler + BW was different because units didn't move like they do in SC2. The clumping and pathing in SC2 allows for situations that could have never taken place in BW. Everything seems like it's designed to just huddle in a ball and move. When a group of carriers approaches a clump of hydras, the player typically focus fires the carriers, and it goes down hard. Or if it approaches stalkers, not only do you have a clump, but you have a clump that can BLINK forward or backward. Thors also scare the shit out of me if I have carriers. And of course, these units are seldom the only unit in the composition, so there's tons of other shit to have to worry about. The Carrier just doesn't seem like it was designed to work with SC2 as fluidly as it was in BW. | ||

Also they are super fun! Nothing is more rewarding then when you fly into your opponents base with 10 carriers 3-3-3 :D | ||

Also, I don't know why so many people jump on the kill-colossus bandwagon. They want to get rid of the unit that is working as intended to keep the unit that is essentially useless. | ||

I really have no idea where this silly argument that they intrinsically overlap with Colossus came from. They attack air, they have a larger range, they fly. There is so much different about them. All that they need are a few tweaks so that they are less vulnerable and are actually capable of leaving fights. | ||
