It is not good for most Americans either since it is usually in the middle of the night.
Most of the people complaining are obviously those that watch the VODs. So I don't get why some people keep mentioning the HQ stream.

The up & downs were already played for the last GSL of 2011. The current up & downs are being played for the first GSL of 2012 therefor part of the 2012 season. I don't understand how people could misconstrue this. Unless they go by the calendar year because it's played in December?
oh wait, Nov? Nevermind then.

Yo snowbird, how about you finally implement those Korean vods for the Up&Down matches you've been promising. Or are you also gonna lie about that?

Wow seriously? Grow up. Things don't always happen in the time frame you want, it doesn't mean he's lying. GOM are good guys working to bring us the best games, we'll wait and see whether or not this is implemented.
EDIT: Sorry, didn't want to sound horrible. As someone has pointed out below they've already changed their VOD viewer to implement this change so it does look like it's coming. Sorry again for telling you to grow up, I'm sure you're just anxious to watch those VODs. Who wouldn't be? Sickest tournament with the sickest games. Well done GOM, looking forward to an awesome new year.

Right now it says Korean VOD upload is in progress, but given that they changed their VOD player to include selection buttons it means it's on it's way.

First of all GOM are no good guys. They're a company like every other who just try to make money. Second, I paid a bunch of money to GOM and now I want the stuff in return which was promised. They have shown in the past that they can make fast decisions in other aspects so I expect the same here.

Fast decisions are a little bit different to taking all the Korean VODs and setting them up for us to view. It's a completely different thing so please don't be upset by that. GOM are pretty good guys, yes, all companies want to make money, but that doesn't mean they've lied to you or that it makes them no good. It seems the product is on the way. Hopefully it's here soon and you'll be able to get what you paid for.

As long as it says Up/down is for next season, then it's not at the beginning. that would be this season.

Why was the cost of GSL November the same as other seasons then, if there was clearly less content? Why was there not a more obvious announcement of the fact that, although you are charging the same amount, you are not delivering the same content (as compared to every other GSL season). Of course, there were announcements about the format changes, but simply based on the number of complaints in this thread alone, the information was clearly not communicated well enough. I personally bought GSL November and am very unhappy that the ticket didn't include Up and Downs despite costing the same amount and despite no obvious mention of the fact that something like this had happened.
So in short, I think you owe it to your customers to deliver the Up/Down VODs to GSL November buyers, simply because you failed to communicate. I've been a customer for every single GSL season and I don't appreciate this.

I haven't checked if there is less content. It is the new format so isn't there more games anyway? It's a bit of a weird period since they're changing the system up so much. So I can understand people are frustrated and GOM definitely could have communicated this better, but they didn't fail to communicate it as it has been stated. So it's not completely fair as people have paid expecting Up and Downs, but it's also not fair to ask GOM to give it to you for free.
I could be completely clueless however and people are getting cheated on content. Although it was a pretty good grand finals so I wouldn't feel cheated even if I had just that one series of VODs

until now every season have included:
Code S Code A Up and Down Matches
which is why the VOD page looks like it does, and why the liquidpedia page looks like it does.. its not strange that i was under that impression

Korean VOD upload takes a bit longer then the upload for the English VODs, because it's a separate process. They should be up soon.
We upload VODs faster than any other league, but haters gotta hate I guess

I feel tricked by this. Tacking it at the tail end of a press release is not good enough if all else remains the same.

There's also the official GSL November Announcement: http://www.gomtv.net/2011gslsponsors7/news/66481
It clarifies that the format will be changed significantly starting from November ("completely revamped format"). From this point on, any expectation based on how the format was in previous seasons should be abandoned and further info to be expected and sought, as posted there.

This is only a problem for those that don't subscribe continuously into the next season. Otherwise it makes no difference.
This was a bad oversight by GOM but one that will hardly be noticed because of the above fact and the fact that UP/DOWN aren't that popular.
