I can see where you would assume that since it wasn't explicitly stated that they wouldn't be either until recently but yeah, this complaint has very little strength i think It was in fact explicitly stated when GSL November stated (that they would not be included).

There's also the official GSL November Announcement: http://www.gomtv.net/2011gslsponsors7/news/66481 It clarifies that the format will be changed significantly starting from November ("completely revamped format"). From this point on, any expectation based on how the format was in previous seasons should be abandoned and further info to be expected and sought, as posted there. Lol, you link says nothing about changes to ticket system. My main complaint about this is that the change to ticket system was mentioned in the middle of the wall of text in few words and that the picture of the new system doesn't says Next Season above Up/Down part. These two things make this a misleading contract and I will not pay 15$ for Up/Downs. And will no longer support GOMtv in 2012 if they don't make this right for November ticket holders (and fix their information system so this shit doesn't happen again). I was planning to buy January ticket when Code S games would begin so it would be same to Gom, but as it is now I will not buy anything from Gom in 2012.

even now, as i am writing this, under events it states "Oct 27 Dec 23 GSL Code S / A November 2011" under "events" the fact that noone from team liquid have noticed this makes my mistake a far lesser one in my opinion and i am not going to buy more tickets, and arguments like "this doesnt matter because up and down matches aren very good" or "you can watch the live stream" or "this is just a problem if youre not planning to buy more tickets" really doesnt matter anyway

They made the announcement before GSL November even started, and every single day on the schedule it's said "GSL Nov. 11.10.27(Thu) ~ 12.07(Wed)" The info was out there, not reading it isn't an excuse, just like not reading TL's rules wouldn't be an excuse for breaking them. as i have stated earlier in the thread i have seen that the information was out. that however doesnt mean that it was clear and available if you drink a soda of a known brand and it says in fine print on the bottom "may contain poision" it doesnt make it right.

But everyone knew about the changed format, so more like it's buying a known Soda brand with them saying everywhere that they've completely changed the ingredients. Also putting poison in a soda is wrong for completely different reasons. Also feel free to ignore me, I could be completely wrong.

It was nested in a statement about the 2012 season and somewhat indirectly so. Why do I need to look to the 2012 setup to know that the last of 2011 does in fact differ from all the other seasons and tickets in 2011? I bought all the tickets Gom ever offered from the very beginning. You might take me for an informed customer but I in fact had no idea. The information was there, somewhere, sure. Given all that you shouldn't really be surprised that people feel tricked, however.

Are you serious, man? GOM announces new format, people don't bother to read and then get upset months later when they realize there's a new format and they didn't bother learning more about it. /facepalm

If you think this is all good and kosher, fine. No need to be this hostile about it by calling me an idiot.

Don't blame GOM for your own laziness. They made public announcements that were covered by every major Starcraft community site including TL, not sneakily alter a single line in some fine print or something without telling anyone.

I never used the word "idiot", let alone call you anything. Please stop being overdramatic and fallacious, both toward myself and toward GOM. You're the one that blindly purchased a product without reading what you got out of it when GOM announced changes had been made. That's on you entirely.
